That guy who made a post on the top of the last page confused low poly with shit textures

Because every piece of clothing has the same seams.

Looks fine to me, and 3dsmax cloth is to blame for any flaws you seem to see.
I think it looks cool.
looks good saxor, you gona texture it?
It is textured.

You have a problem with this?

I love how you say others' textures suck and whatnot and yet your own is poopy
There's nothing wrong with that texture. it is perfect for fabric as it is in the pattern of the threads which make up fabric.
[editline]18th February 2011[/editline]
If you think that texture is bad then you clearly have zero concept of fine detail.

i can't quite agree that a texture that is supposed to represent a soft t shirt appears to look like wood http://imagecache6.allposters.com/LRG/36/3610/HL7EF00Z.jpg
not saying it looks like wood on your render, but it just doesn't fit the bill imo. But hey, it's just me, there is never one way to make a texture.
anyway that aside,

work continues on my game characters, the character totaling @ 21000 tris with the weapon , 16000 without. Fucking grain, everywhere.

Here's the diffuse, which I'm still working hard on. not even close to done.
That wood is woven. Fabric is woven. What's hard to figure out?

nothing dude, i'm just saying canvas-ish texture doesn't really fit a t shirt well.
That looks like canvas? Go look at a shirt up close, a cotton/spandex one, or better yet; look at some underwear (boxers don't count, plus they are not comfortable at all unless you have tiny balls)
Looking at my t shirt I'm wearing, it has got lines going straight up and down, and in between at 45 degrees to that, under it. Doesn't look woven together like yours.
Obviously it's not the same sort of material.

yeah more like this right?
Well, perhaps you can take a photo of your t shirt? if that's asking too much then It's fair enough, I just would like to see the material in question.
What kind of material is that? Looks nothing like what i am talking about. That looks like some kind of wooly crap, not some stretch lycra/cotton/spandex blend.

of course it isn't any of those, i couldn't find a decent pic fast so i picked that one. Most t shirts look like that but without the wool-y look, of course, cause they're usually made of polyester/cotton etc.
spandex even looks like it if you look close enough. But of course, my point isn't that you are wrong, but rather your choice is odd and I can't find too much info on it, which leaves me to ask why you chose it ?
I believe they're talking about the pattern, not the material itself.
And you sound like you're pissed off.

Yep.

Different fabrics have different thread patterns.

What choice? To add a pointlessly overkill-y bump map that you wont see unless you're 2 inches away from the model?

I can try, don't know how good of detail you can get. Picture a really skinny ladder, but all of the rungs are slanted.
Meh, all you see are threads vertically going down in the picture.
