did he even say its for a game?
You didn't get what he said. Since it's not for game, why not have it higher poly?
Decided to model a soviet-era radio with some help from a reference.

Still gotta do the back and smooth it.
Here's the reference. Took the pictures myself from all angles. Got another radio, a vinyl player with speakers and a rusty old flashlight. If anyone needs them, i'm happy to share.

Made myself a wooden bench for use in UDK:

You near-enough nailed the look of it, great job.

Added details to the plane in the form of ropes and shit.
To Do:
-The machine gun on it, no idea how detailed I should go with this, I mean it could be it's own project for fucks sake.
-More ropey crap on the back of the plane for the fins at the back.
-The cockpit, some seat in it or something, the flight stick, and some instruments I guess. Pedals too, the used pedals right?

Really easy to do but the render is nice.
A highpoly model of a porthole for my super secret mod project.

I'm not bragging about the animation :p
Pling, the bars on the outside seems to magically stick to the "window"

I know, I was thinking of some weld seams, they're still doable.

Added some using max's blobmesh. Updated the pic.
Was digging through my old deviant art comments and found my first photomerged 3D model, done about a month before I joined FP so I assume I've never brought it up here. God, I've always loved doing this stuff but I never see it around this thread when I pop in here-and-there. Anyone else do this very often?

...and yeah that's my room after CLEANING, years and years ago.
it's much worse now.
I made something like this before:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=pv1o3WBp_ZQ
I didn't make that model though, I just tried out matchmoving :sax:
And I did this render of a model I made (with the help of a tutorial) because I wanted to try out the Camera Map Per Pixel:

looks really nice, since its so smooth it looks cartoonish.
But i presume you are going to add bumpmaps and realistic textures

I would, but I've got a bit of a problem there.
When I try to unwrap that cylinder on top, I always get some screwed up results, and the tutorial doesn't cover how he unwrapped the model.

You should check out his other tutorial on how to model and texture a standing mail box, in which he describes how to unwrap with both Max and UVLayout.

Thanks
Going to watch that tutorial now.
Just started experimenting with bipeds.

The cape makes him badass, so does the fact that he is made of glass and that he is walking between two spiky death things.
Click it if you feel like a slightly more brown cape is worth 10 extra Megabytes.
Can you please stop posting huge apngs on the page? Just upload to youtube or something. Nobody really cares about apng.

Never said it didn't work. I just don't want to have to load huge files every time I click on the thread.

True, i wish media tags would still work with images. :frown:
I agree with you guys on two accounts.
The other because I am using chrome and I can't see the animation right now.
Adblock then.
Adblock then.
that's not a good solution when the problem is easily solvable by a link I can click if I want.
Yeah, you should post them as a link
I seriously need a good tutorial on UV Mapping :(

I know, I just can't get my head around unwrapping complex stuff.
Made another pic for portolio with the X3CC.
