That's how you make buildings.
I'm not sure how that is going to fit onto the building..

Maybe skyscrapers but not something that isn't utterly boring.

You can stack one floor a few times, then make another one and stack that. So it doesn't stay the same.

ill probably personalize each floor with random chairs and whatever you would have out on a balcony. i had some ideas for some adjustable windows and shit, so those would be at different levels, they wont all look the same.

Actually it's a defense mechanism if someone sneaks from behind.
good now weld them together.
That's a pretty common belly button type.
Some versions of a new cover-image.

(watermark for pre-published work)
Dat basics
The work features simple manufacture machanics, so I'm trying to stay simple with the models.
I'm trying to play around with material, effects, and etc, however.
and you get paid for those? (no offenece)
Some of them are my research too lol
There is actually a lot of technical knowledge required for these kind of illustrations.
If you don't understand what the paper is saying, you cannot even take the duty.
The last thing you want is to skew the focus of the research.
This cover image features a specific research paper that is accepted into the journal;
it is not just totally random.
The request came from the accepted paper, not from the journal.
You can google any scientific cover image and look for what they are loking for.
Knowing your client is actually the key for everything.
This is a reproduced scene of a SEM image by the way.
I can send them Z-Brushed high-poly models with fully mapped shader, but that will probably get rejected...

Here's the website for the journal, you can look at what they are looking for yourself first...
I do appreciate suggestions and critiques, but I didn't get any... lol

your work seems entirely on that level, but i dont even know what im talking about.
Oops, perhaps I was taking your point in the wrong direction, sorry.
The 'no offense' in parenthesis just caused me to think that way xD
It's like one of those things you tell ppl not to do, but they still do it anyways because now they know about it... haha
Anyhoo, any suggestion on the pic would be appreciated :]
I personally want to lighten up the gold on the right hand side, but I'm trying to picture how a gold glowing in the violet range would look like.
If I use individual light source on each gold, then it would take a huge amount of rendering time that it is not even worth it :x
Found tons of examples of a particular companies art test. Some accepted, some rejected. I also found the original concept. I need to make thousands of iterations until I'm good enough.
An area for an short I'm going to be doing.
Lighting is a huge WIP.
