Optomistic
Useful
I really need suggestions on how to improve this. I'm kind of stuck (except for the obvious things like adding teeth), but I want it to look a lot better. :frown:
Calling it a day, I think. Please hit me with some constructive criticism before I start the UV-mapping process.
The bolts looks like two half spheres
Useful
Agree.
Having my first go at rigging. Doing it on the dinosaur and got the legs done and it looks fine.

But make sure you give the texture some colour variation, brighter colours around the lower part of the mouth, chin and breast.
Fully poseable. Need to fix the right leg. I wouldn't know where to start. But yeah, definitely need to improve the texture.
id recommend painting it in zbrush or mudbox.
id recommend painting it in zbrush or mudbox.
Alright. I'll take a look at those I guess.
what happened to his leg when he stepped forward jesus christ
He didn't paint the weights quite right in that area.
3040 polys view model for Team Fortress 2
Could be optimized. Though without wire it's hard to tell
Agreed. You should post wires seeing as we can't really help with topology otherwise.
Could be optimized. Though without wire it's hard to tell
Just remove the invisible half of the view model.
Some view modes have animations that make more than half of the model visible though.
Agreed. I think I went overboard a few details, the "cocking handle" and rear sights especially.
Just remove the invisible half of the view model.

Some view modes have animations that make more than half of the model visible though.
Yeah
I don't really know guns so excuse the lack of proper naming but why did you boolean that cap shape that's on the floating piece as well as attach that screw that's to the left of it? They would do just fine floating. Those are the only real optimization issues I see other than a couple bevels that are really too small to matter. It's not going to be too fun to UV but it won't be too bad either. [editline]08:43AM[/editline] Also I'm making something with almost only hand painted textures. I couldn't find rust pics that I like and I don't have the time to take my own so I'm creating a technique for rust. Looks good so far imo.

Looking for a texture similar to the wood panels on this house, can't find anything. Anyone can help out?
Have you tried Mayang's Free Textures Library and cgtextures?

Ended up using a normal wood texture with a grid bump map.
Guess who has a 100mb Premium CG Textures Account! :buddy: [sp]Not me [/sp]
I made an Arcade Console for a school assignment: And yes, that's Orbital from the Apple App Store. ;)
looks good. the front panel needs some work, it looks like just black lines painted on the front. also i dont think you should have used scratches like those, as the machines are usually plastic there, and yours looks like scratched metal.
Yeah, I probably should've mentioned that we were supposed to texture inn details like panels and such. They're easier to model on top, and it looks better too. But that's not what this was about. Even though I'd imagined the machine in scratched up metal, you're probably right about the plastic. Well see what my teacher says tomorrow. ;) Thanks for the feedback!
