It looks like goat shit to be honest. The color of the rock doesn't match the environment it is placed in, also the actual texture doesnt come off as proper weathering, especially if its in a desert area. Also the faces and shapes on the rock are even and appear some what symmetrical. We as humans try to make everything perfect but in nature the realism in it is that it is not perfect. Make it much more oblong in shape in other words.

I'm completely open to taking criticism, but saying it looks like goat shit doesn't exactly encourage anybody to get better. If you could come off a little more polite I'm sure I could learn something.

I don't want to seem like I'm making excuses or anything but I was more doing a multipurpose "throw everywhere" rock that doesn't have too much distinct form. I'll keep practicing and make a little more unique silhouetted rocks.

Yeah, I can. I agree too. It baked down a bit weird so I'll try rebaking the ao/normals. The high poly is more chunky. I'll probably modify the base mesh as I never made one proper. I just used the lowest subdivision level on the HP (may be decent enough to keep using. I'll see.)

Likewise, it looks funky to me if it's in the middle. But I'm quite sure I'll put it in the middle IRL because bass tends to sound muddy if the subwoofer is placed too close near the walls, especially in a corner. And most likely the speakers should be placed at ear level, or pointed at ears.

Considering the sub-woofer is non directional you don't need to have it anywhere special. Hell I've seen home theaters where the sub-woofer is placed under the floor with great success.

It looks cool, but it's kind of angular and the "pieces" are kind of uniform. It looks good, but a little cartoony. To me, it looks a bit like coral.

you know i thought it would be much easier to make a convincing rock then it really is. in retrospect, i could go back and give it a less shitty texture, maybe something of cgtextures, but its 1:30am im going to sleep
That doesn't really look like anything.
It looks like someone sticked a lot of small stone slabs onto a pile of concrete that hadn't set yet. Real rock doesn't have many pieces like that, they're usually one big lump.
