It's impressive how much refraction increases a rendering time. Seriously, Increased the rending time from 11 seconds to half an hour, That's just annoying.

I do quite some glass renders and it doesn't seem to be much different with refractions on or off

I do quite some glass renders and it doesn't seem to be much different with refractions on or off[/QUOTE] I use mental ray and the scene is just a test with greeble, It's got raytraced reflections too, which i'm fooling with but when I start using refractions it pushes my render time up about 20x, it's nuts.
I imagine Greeble would max out the bounces on the raytracer quite alot, probably why.
Decided to use my morning wisely and redo the text and add some decals to the radio. About 2 hours of hand-painting each letter and icon. Turned out better, but i'll have to smooth it later on. Looking good. Keep it up! I think it will be vastly improved when you can get a dirt/grime pass and some normals/spec on there.

It's not worth the effort, the time you spend counting the money you rake in really takes a bite out of your social life, and were young, so it's not the time for that. Now my Scrooge McDuck style money pit really does get some crazy ass pussy, but again, that becomes more of an issue than a blessing....so stick to free modding. Take my advice, I've lived the life and let me tell you, it's not all it's cracked up to be (it's better!)

It's just unbelievably tedious work. And i don't want to use a custom font since i might have to pay the creator if i actually do put it up somewhere. So yeah, progress, wewt, but now i have to work on the back side. Edit: Whoops, forgot the tracking line. Updated.
