This is based off a real room. I'm doing it for practise.
The renderer was just the standard that C4D is set to + GI and AO.
The doors are black cos the texture is missing from my pc, it's the least of my concerns at the moment though. I'm working on the basic layout and the lighting.

In the Global Illumination settings set the diffuse depth to 3-4 and the gamma to 2.2. Also if you want go to the Irradiance Cache tab and set the oversampling, the stochastic camples and Record Density to High-Heavy.

After playing Nehrim I felt like modding Oblivion again so I decided to make a sauna:

Ignore the extremely crappy ornaments. I havent found a good way to bend images correctly on Photoshop (if someone knows one, do tell) but I'm a relative noob on that area, so I just drew them on.
And a wireframe for good measure.

I just noticed that the doorframe is way too dense and I can pinch a few loops from here and there. Also I've tried to remove every possible face that is not in sight. This is an improvement compared to my first Oblivion model. A sword with over 30k polies :v:

It would look odd up close if it was sharp. The edges would've worn off after some time in the outdoors. I could make it stand out more to make the extra polies more useful, but the current count isn't bad at all AFAIK so it's good the way it is.

I just use Vray anyway, I find it a lot more straightforward.

How do I up the resolution of images in 3Ds Max? I'm trying to use some blue prints, but the quality is horrific so I can't use them at all.
I followed some tutorial about drivers or some shit but it didn't work.
you have to reload the pictures after you change driver settings.
