I'm doing this for fun, for me, to see if anything changes. For better or worse, or if my experiences alter in a similar way to how Wallace's did in the book.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not, so I'll just explain.
A Brit named Danny Wallace did it for real, then wrote a book about it. Then just recently they made a movie about it, with Jim Carrey playing Wallace. Although Wallace does have a cameo in the film...
