Well if you look at the cotton, half is white and half is brown you want the brown half. There are guides on the internet that say if you're eating it you can just cut off the white part so you don't have to eat so much cotton.

The solution the propylhexedrine is dissolved in as well as the propylhexedrine itself are highly basic (near 12 if I remember correctly) and can cause nasty GI tract issues. Not to mention the cotton is nearly impossible to digest and ends up getting hung up in your digestive tract causing further problems.
Take the cotton, cut it up however you want and put it in a shot of lemon or lime juice (orange juice or any other form of acidic fruit drink will work in a pinch). Let it sit for a few hours, swirling it and squishing the cotton against the sides periodically. After that, take the cotton out and squeeze the remaining juice out and take the shot.
There is absolutely no need to increase the nasty side effects by eating the cotton. Freebase propylhexedrine is NOT something you want to be consuming in large quantities, it is volatile. Putting it in a citric acid solution such as lime or lemon juice neutralizes the highly basic contents of the cotton and converts the freebase Propylhexedrine over to its citrate salt form, which is more stable and not as harsh on the system.
The Benzedrex inhalers contain 250mgs of Propylhexedrine, which is a methamphetamine analogue. It is also known as Hexahydromethamphetamine. One should start with half the inhaler before eating a whole one, as 250mgs has been shown to be too much for people who either are of smaller body weight than most, or have little to no tolerance to stimulants. I'm bored and decided to try this out, i'll let you guys know how it works out so you guys can get some different perspective.
the method i used was gathered from several sources online, mostly bluelight and erowid.
Mixed the cotton into a 20oz Cherry Coke (allegedly one of the most acidic sodas with a pH of 2.5, only .5 above most lemon juice), gonna drink half of it and decide if i want the rest then, later or never.
Cap the bottle tightly and agitate it (shake, roll etc) because the cotton floats, do this for about 5-10min and make sure to squeeze it out when you take it out. Lick your fingers if you want but the shit is so packed with menthol and camphor you will regret it.
One of my fingers that had a lot of squeezed liquid on it touched my lip, similar numbness to putting benzocaine on sore gums/teeth.
I definitely notice the taste in the coke but it's not bad, the smell might put some off.
Initial comeup is similar to other amphetamines, nothing shitty so far.
edit: an hour later, not too intense yet, drinking the other half. I'm assuming i lost some of the desired chemical because i did it quickly and sloppily, likely lost some still in the cotton or on my fingers. I am sweating quite a bit when i usually don't but i am wearing a sweatshirt on a stim.
edit 2: 2 hours, all i can say so far is 'meh', maybe it's the way i took it but this isnt nearly as extreme as the erowid vaults would lead you to beleive
would it be a lot better to try and extract it some how?
put the cotton bits in an np solvent, let it all dissolve, filter, add hcl and dilute water, this should get your active ingredient in the water layer hopefully leaving the menthol oil behind then evap.
Sure you could do it like that, and yeah taking half at a time will really diminish the effects. If you have any amphetamine tolerance that could also diminish the effects.
This kind of reminds me of when people were inhaling keyboard cleaner. Shits wack yo.
Extreme vasoconstrictor
I speak from experience when I say this shit will feel absolutely non-euphoric and give you the biggest dehydration hangover the next day, ontop of that it makes your dong small as fuck to a almost frightening level. I mixed it with about 30ml of lemon juice and drank, god awful flavor and shitty menthol burps. There's a reason why this shit is legal. It's like a really, [B]REALLY[/B] shitty amphetamine.

But these are common effects of amphetamines.
And how do you know it's extremely vasoconstricting? Did you get blue limbs/fingers/toes?

Propylhexedrine is a VC outside of its stimulant properties, and is known to cause sudden death when taken IV. the DEA lets this be abused for a good reason

Haha sorry for that. I think the reason it's not illegal in the US is because it hasn't grown very popular yet. In many countries (Sweden, for one) it's already been made illegal based solely on it's structural resemblance to methamphetamine.
The DEA doesn't earn anything from having a bunch of people die to get high. They earn their salary by jailing people using and selling illegal drugs.
But then again, maybe it will stay legal. I mean you guys still sell over-the-counter DXM even after it's been abused to death by mostly teenagers.

which makes absolute sense... if your goal is to stop people from doing drugs... the DEA just wants to stop the ones where the positive outweighs the negative, which is usually what makes something "boom" in popularity.
Is the danger with i.v. use of propylhexedrine in foreign granulomus? I haven't found a way to filter out all of the cotton shreds.
It is easy to extract. Take muriatic acid and release enough drops to make common tap water sour to the taste. Then add cotton in shake in HDPE bottle with cap. The water will get milky. Filter water from cotton and evaporate.
The wax that dries is fun to smoke. Not nearly as potent as meth, but I believe if you get drunk and then vaporize it - the effects will be potentinated.
