Tell him to go fuck himself and send him a picture of your ass.
I took the test I posted based on what you have posted, and you're at high risk of this being a scam.

Better yet, Postal's ass.

(I just noticed Postal's left cheek is a little deformed.)
Cheque? What the hell? You mean Check?
Cheque is an acceptable spelling. It's common outside of the US. (I've seen it used more frequently than "check" in Canada)
Alright, so do you think it would be alright if i just tore up the check and ignored him? I don't think somebody from kansas trying to check scam me would find and kill me do you?
And now I know where he lives so..
Well that settles it. He's overpaying so he can grab your money.
So like dino said, tell the guy to fuck off and post response.
(he does have your adress so that could suck)

But seriously, read the contents of that link. It is amazing and you should do the same thing.

Ah, ok.

Scambait. Nothing bad will happen to you.

You probably have a fake address, traced to a proxy of some sort. he on the other hand has your full real address because of your failure of common sense. He probably wouldn't kill you for knowing it's a scam though. Be warned, that doesn't mean he/they won't do anything at all.
I agree with the sending him of postal's ass. Also, this whole thing doesn't become a problem until you send him back the $3700 if I heard this scam right, so tearing up that check solves all your problems.

He's in a mud hut in Nigeria. Nobody will kill the OP.
The obvious thing to do is to not take this offer.
Optionally you could also go to the police, clearly something is amiss.
Post his ip, someone might be able to find out his address + phone number. Then we can all use skype to phone prank him.
And then shit in a box and send it to him.
Report it

Yeah, I think the address is probably fake.
Dude it's a cashiers check.
never take those. Even craigslist is smart enough to say don't accept that.
nvm
It's in the US.
You shouldn't post that d: its not safe, even if it is a proxy ._.
What? I took it off. Why isn't it safe?
I tracked it down... To a field...
Nearest house seems to be a farm, so the person is probably real, but the scam is even more likely fake. (What farmer would be that careless with $4,000, let alone even have $4,00)

Too late :v:
That's where I tracked it. But there's always a possibility of it being fake.
I just want to know SOMETHING. I don't feel safe right now :(

The Nigerian army is coming after you.
You may mistake it for a bunch of guys with sticks, but don't let your guard down.

Hey, they can afford crowbars. And we've all seen what a crowbar can do.
A bowling ball? For 125$? It better be like silver plated or something.

It could be a relay, but I don't see any considerable technology that would be able to do that, unless it's in that building.

Its plated with scambait apparently.
