What exactly does this operation do to people? I see it slightly changes her facial features, but what else? That's all I could tell that happened.
I wonder how manly his voice is because he totally looks like a girl, and girls with manly voices get some unpleasant comments about them.
i don't understand why someone would do this
you can "play woman" all you want but the most important parts of a womans life you'll probably never have. if im not mistaken changes like this are only skin deep, so forever a man you'll be on the inside.
I honestly do not get the point of it if they can't create babies.
Somehow I don't think the point is to get pregnant :|

She was always a woman on the inside, you have no idea how this shit works so stop posting and :frog:
I'm glad she's who she's supposed to be now. Good for her.

Yeah, I get he wanted to be a woman, so he made himself a she using hormones. I'm just saying that he she will never become a true woman in every sense. If she's fine with that, than its alright.
And I have no idea how this shit works? You're right, I guess I don't think I'm a woman on the inside and can divulge deep into the psyche of someone who does.
I'm glad s/he's happy with their new gender but I've not a bloody clue how that happened, does she still have a penis and testicles?

Highlighted part is where you continue to be wrong. She didn't "want" to be a woman, her mind told her she WAS a woman but her body disagreed.
Looks like Deb from Dexter.

what
so you're saying that she wanted her body to be a woman
[editline]18th February 2011[/editline]
And your point is that she did not want to be a woman? I get what you're trying to tell me but you basically just stated that she wanted a female body but in a very emotionally driven manor
Somehow I don't think the point is to get pregnant :|
Then what is the point?
Highlighted part is where you continue to be wrong. She didn't "want" to be a woman, her mind told her she WAS a woman but her body disagreed.
You're acting like she just decided to become a woman one day, when in reality it was something she struggled with likely for her entire life.

Then I suggest you go educate yourself on it, perhaps with Wikipedia or some books

Unless she got sex-reassignment surgery, yeah. Hormones don't change that.
Hell, I'd tap that.

Think of how many women you've met in your life. All virgin jokes aside, how many vaginas have you really seen? Except for sexual relationships, that part really isnt important. I'm not friends with a girl so I can have sex with her.

Maybe, just maybe, not feeling comfortable at all with one's current exterior gender and wanting that to change. Saying it like that maybe it just doesn't seem that big of a deal, but it is, trust me on this.
It's really hard to look at the mirror and not being able to relate physically in any way with who you are seeing on it, everyday throught most part of your life.
I think it's wonderful. Good for her, she's finally what she felt she had to be and she looks quite attractive in my opinion. A prime example of how someone can overcome a problem with their physical appearance and finally have happiness. I wish nothing but happiness on her!

And you're acting like it's a disease or condition.
Maybe she did go her entire life being a woman stuck in a mans body. But if you think about it, it's nothing more than a mentality. I'm not saying she isn't entitled to be who she thinks she really is, but don't make it out to be more than it actually is. I'm glad she overcame that problem in her life.
Too bad he's still a dude.
Good for her seriously. It sucks that people end up wanting to be the opposite sex but it's pretty incredible we live in a day and age that not only is it possible to do so for the most part but also socially acceptable in certain parts of the country, by most anyway.

It is a condition though. It's a documented condition. Stop passing it off as just a "mentality", it's a much more serious thing than that.
You're probably one of those people who think sexuality is a choice too, huh?

Wow that was something that opened my eyes.
