Egypt National TV : Army is supporting police and a curfew has been announced in cairo , alexandria and suez
Sheit. This is going to be bad.
Blow some motherfuckers up
not really, voodooattack was using Tor all the time before [editline]28th January 2011[/editline] things getting worse ... reports of the army being deployed in cairo , heading to TV building to secure it Update : dont know if this is a good or bad sign .. but civilians are shaking hands and hugging the army soldiers , and many of them are friendly to the people :)
The army is going against the government?
The army is going against the government?
Let's really hope so. I really don't know what to think though. Just in: The police are stealing journalists and tourists cameras.
Egypt National TV : Army is supporting police and a curfew has been announced in cairo , alexandria and suez
I'd laugh that even though this has been announced, the army just sits around not doing anything. [editline]28th January 2011[/editline]
Let's really hope so. I really don't know what to think though.
The alternative is that they don't take either side.
The army is going against the government?
I hope so News that mubarak will be on national tv after 15 minutes to give a speech ( finally)
I can see the army entering the Streets on TV, they have some ancient soviet area half track and they are pushing it along, apparently fuel is becoming scarce.
Minute by minute updates here by the way: http://blogs.aljazeera.net/middle-east/2011/01/28/friday-protests-liveblog
Even though the higher ups in the army have sided with the police, I hope the soldiers still have some brains.
In the russian revolution, the military was ordered by the tsar to fire on any protestors. Instead, they turned around and charged with the protestors on the kremlin.
In the russian revolution, the military was ordered by the tsar to fire on any protestors. Instead, they turned around and charged with the protestors on the kremlin.
Avatar fits.
I think we are about to see a repeat of tunisia scenario here .. the army will protect the cities and ask mubarak to leave. at least that's what the egyptians are hoping for --- Egyptian police attacks building of ALJAZEERA ENGLISH IN CAIRO
In the russian revolution, the military was ordered by the tsar to fire on any protestors. Instead, they turned around and charged with the protestors on the kremlin.
Actually, they first killed some protesters, not sure how many. [editline]28th January 2011[/editline] Curfew in ten minutes by the way. I wonder how this will turn out.
5:50 pm - Al Jazeera's Ayman Mohyeldin is watching protesters gathered on the street outside our bureau, chanting that they want to live in "dignity and peace." Meanwhile, we hear police are approaching the front door of our office.

No updates in the last 20 minutes, and the last update was about security forces entering the building. Something is going on.
Yeah, how about a revolution? :v:
Mubarak will speak very soon, reportedly.
No updates in the last 20 minutes, and the last update was about security forces entering the building. Something is going on.
They seized all of the news channel's buildings, guess it's pharaoh now and me now to give the news.
The curfew is starting now.
In the shadow of recent events of the shootings and extreme violence the police are using against the people, I would like to ask something from all of you... Guys, I know a lot of you don't believe in the same thing but whatever you believe, I hope we can take a moment of silence right now and the rest of us can pray for the people being hurt, killed and tortured in Egypt right now. Lets hope for the best to come out of all of this and to end soon before it gets any worse. God Speed Egypt! Earn your freedom! you deserve it! Don't give up, keep spreading the word and one day you can say you aided in the Egyptian Revolution by supporting the Tor Networks or asking the news to cover the story. We can all make a difference even if it seems small. تحرير
Al Jazeera has been ordered to stop broadcasting everything. Meanwhile, protesters are defying the curfew.
:siren::siren::siren::siren::siren:LIVE STREAM IN ENGLISH:siren::siren::siren::siren::siren: http://english.aljazeera.net/watch_now/
I was wondering if there was such a thing, cause there is some really good footage, the protesters are burning armored vehicles of the police at night.
