Also, is the National Museum the Egyptian Museum? I hope they don't damage anything.
I hope this spreads to other dictatorships in the middle east and Africa, especially Libya and Saudi Arabia.
It's tough to start a revolt in Saudi because it's very large.
The police fired tear-gas at the people doing prayers.
ok firing teargas into praying people wtf
Cairo is almost pitch black.
That's a dick move of gigantic proportions.
shits realy going down, but y the fuck did they fire tear gas in to praying people
Attacking praying people with tear gas is horrible.
No matter what you believe or how much you think their belief is wrong, you should never do that.
Thanks for the Wikipedia page. I found this. lighten the mood maybe

It's incredible how late the TV news is.
It just started and they are saying "a curfew just has been set and military has been deployed"
I was deeply impressed that they continued praying during it.
President Hosni Mubarak has ruled Egypt since 1981. His government has been criticised in the media and amongst NGOs. "His support for Israel won him the support of the West and a continuation of hefty annual aid from the United States".[22] His government is also noted for its crackdown on Islamic militants.[22] As a result, the initial reactions to Hosni Mubarak's abuses by the U.S. were muted, and most instances of socio-political protest in the country, when they occurred at all, rarely made major news headlines in the United States.[23]
I hope this does not go undereported in the US
This is a description of what Tear Gas feels like to anybody who is interested or doesn't know exactly what it does.
Your eyes start running and it feels like you're breathing in fire. A lot of time the gas will cause your nose to start running and sometimes it may induce vomiting. Tear Gas is made up of little splinter-like crystals that stick into your mucous membranes and skin. So rubbing your skin will make it burn more. The only way to treat the pain is to get out of the gas and let the crystals dissipate in oxygen.
Admiral Death strike is an asshole for actually rating the tear gas firing as dumb.
How has Murbarak stayed in power for 30 years?
I keep hearing things on the Al Jazeera stream that sound like rockets being fired.

His buddies in Washington made sure that he did.
Israel's Labor Member of Knesset Binyamin Ben-Eliezer said that Israel expresses its support for Mubarak and hopes the riots pass quietly.[82]
what a surprise!!

Keeping things unreported in any western country is pretty much impossible now, with almost everyone using the internet.
Motherfucker I knew I should have invested in tear gas.
Smash them.
I can see a Fahd Armoured vehicle being idle on the street.

Those are rubber rounds(hopefully)/live ammunition.
Hillary is saying a lot of shit now.
Clinton is speaking now.
Hilary Clinton is speaking live now on Egypt
she says she wants the Egyptian government to restrain the security forces and protesters to not use violence.
She has also said they are entitled they have the right for peaceful assembly and to have the choice to reform their government along with other things I can't type fast enough to record.
She seems like she speaking in favor of the revolution. Thats good news I guess. And Obama has just received a 40 page report on the situation with Egypt. it might sway his opinion!
However I don't think it will go back to peaceful protests... they tried that... it didn't work. And if they back down now the military will just gain enough power so that they can prevent it from happening again if they ignore the protests again.
I think they have reason to act violently against the police if their own government is preventing them from demonstrating peacefully.
It's funny she says these things now, and didn't ages ago.
-snip-
Of course she doesn't demand that Mubarak steps down :/.

They dont want to get their reputation damaged so they abandon their partners instead of being honest.
