Egypt is now in Anarchy with millions of Egyptians in protest, outnumbering security forces, Mubarak apparently could flee, the security forces are just the army now.

400 people are dead now
Yesterday there was 8 dead.
Now it's 400.
Death is taking it's toll
Oh my god this thread is 50% of FP traffic atm
I love that the Egyptian army is aiding the protesters. It shows what almost 40 years of martial law does to people.
Tell him about how Obama is a hypocrite and protects dictators yet wishes for world democracy, if hes gullible enough to still fall for Obamas Election speeches before he was president he must be stupid enough to believe actual evidence
Don't put this all on Obama. Obama knows that if he becomes anti-Mubarak, then he's going to take a political beating from the idiot politicians who only care about America getting benefits from the guy.
I think it's atleast better for Hillary's statements to atleast tell Egypt that they really need to meet the demands of their people then to just make painfully neutral statements all the time.
Also, I'm sick of the idiots that try to have opinions on this.
I've literally heard the following,
"I know whats happening, people are protesting against corrupt government. Big whoop."
"This will be bad for oil."
"To be fair, if people were protesting against me I'd shut the internet off too."
"I don't think Egyptians are being very smart by protesting. They probably won't win anyway."

Keep in mind that "400 dead" number still has no source
Was going to play Dead Space tonight, but this is way more interesting.

Wounded. Massive difference.
Amazing that people can literally bring down a 30 year regime of tyranny in only 4 days. I really can't describe how fucking amazing it feels that Egypt is basically becoming free
Wounded. Massive difference.
oh.
Also I'm happy that soldiers are shaking hands with protesters
Did you see that guy just get run over by the police van?
molotovs and anti tank rockets confirmed by french ARTE news here. It's a more liberal and left winged sation than anything else I can see here.

A BBC journalist was identified, arrested, and tortured by Egyptian police
Do you watch the live stream?
On Al-Jazeera yes, for the past hour. I haven't heard that though.
I've also been playing Minecraft in the background, so could've slipped my mind. Anyone else hear it?
I hope OP is alright.
Keep in mind that "400 dead" number still has no source
A news channel Al-Arabiya said that, they also have coverage of the revolt, sorry about that, it's 400 WOUNDED, actually it's now 410
I hope OP is alright.
I think he'll be okay, I can't wait to see how happy his reply will be when Egypt gets internet back
Did you see that guy just get run over by the police van?
Yes, just saw it
400 people wounded actually?
oh she's talking again

Holy shit, I thought his shirt was just red. Apparently it was blood.

Yeah, it's not really Obama's fault. It's been going on way back.
Let's see what bullshit this ambassador will say.
A lot of bullshit that is
"We don't support a dictatorship, but we want to support a dictatorship"
Yeah, it's not really Obama's fault. It's been going on way back.
Its not like he can decide on a period of a few days which side to take. Right now its not even very obvious enough for the US to take a side 100% so the least they can do is keep with the Mubarak since thats what they've always done.
I think eventually (HOPEFULLY) the US will decide to support the revolution but as I said a few pages back, this wouldn't be the first time the US has supported an oppressive government that the people didn't want.
molotovs and anti tank rockets confirmed by french ARTE news here. It's a more liberal and left winged sation than anything else I can see here.
No, the only things i have seen are Molotov attacks on TV, but someone did say that he heard rockets being fired earlier in the thread.
Yup, BS.
They're waffling because they don't want to choose a side. They don't want to anger the government, due to being allies with Egypt. They don't want to anger the new upcoming government so they can stay allies with Egypt.
The guy on the steam right now is really finding it hard to make America seem to be on the 'good' side.

The Shah for example.
He was pro-Western, pro-Israel and various other shit that got the instant support of the U.S, he's identical to Mubarak.
"We stand behind our relationship with Egypt" aka "We stand behind Mubarak."
I love the journalist interviewing him.
