Could we maybe tone down on posting EXACTLY what we see on the live stream? Those of us actually interested in it are actually watching the live stream anyway.
I hope for minimal damakge to the historical monuments and artifacts of Egypt. Also when government buildings are destroyed I'm certain that many agencies having nothing to do with this get damaged too.
many buildings were destroyed or looted, so some agencies buildings did get looted.
Washington are apparently advising travellers to postpone travel to Egypt

You know, since the president never made that announcement he was supposed to make (as far as I know), is it possible that he has fled the country?
It's possible he has, if there was ever a good time to leave it'd be now. I think he realizes Egypt is out of his control and he's probably on some carribean island by now with several billion dollars

I recommend http://twitter.com/eacusa for a good source on twitter
My dad who is a Chief in the USAF just came home. I'm about to go down to dinner and talk to him about this. I just had a short one with him and he said its great that the people are taking it into their own hands.
I'll come back and have to catch up on the subject. I hope I don't miss anything important or something very historically important.
Washington are apparently advising travellers to postpone travel to Egypt
That's kind of a no-brainer.
According to Al Jazeera the soldiers in Cairo are the Presidential Guard. Wouldn't they be loyal to Mubarak then?
Negative ... they crushed Israel's army and restored the Egyptian lands that were occupied
Ummm, crushed wouldn't be the right word, considering Egypt took larger losses. And restored wouldn't be the right word either.
The result of the 1973 war was essentially an Israeli victory, with only minor masses of land "restored" to Egypt, with Israel taking other parts.
Im watching this live right now, i'm seeing a burning building.
I feel so lucky that I live in Canada... These problems seem so alien to me.
From the twitter that was posted earlier:
