Ummm, crushed wouldn't be the right word, considering Egypt took larger losses. And restored wouldn't be the right word either.
The result of the 1973 war was essentially an Israeli victory, with only minor masses of land "restored" to Egypt, with Israel taking other parts.
No Israel lost Sinai.

That's why I don't like Twitter.
BBC News is providing a good overview: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/10318089 (UK Only)
That's kind of a no-brainer.
How DARE those stupid protesters interrupting my long planned beach holiday, I've been booking MONTHS in advance to get a top hotel there. Can't the US just shoot them all so I can enjoy my clean beaches again? I don't mind the blood, just make sure no filthy protester gets into my pool.
No Israel lost Sinai.
Ahh no they didn't. Sinai was given back in a diplomatic agreement through the Camp David Accords and other agreements. You might be getting confused between the Suez Canal.

No i mean in the diplomatic agreements Israel lost Sinai.
#Jan25 #Egypt PRESIDENTIAL GUARD IS GUARDING TELEVISION AND BROADCAST BUILDING
I am now confused about which side the army has taken. Weren't the soldiers that moved into Cairo earlier part of the Guard?
No i mean in the diplomatic agreements Israel lost Sinai.
You mean returned, but then I don't understand what you were saying?
Why would the Army have such a good image due to the Oct 6th War, if they essentially lost the war...

Pres Guard isn't the army.
Imagine being a protestor. With all the police in civil disguise you would be scared shitless of getting seperated.
There is almost no one keeping order on the streets now, looters are having a field day.
Following Al Jazeera, the army is doing what they are really supposed to: They amass around important buildings of national interest(no matter who rules the country) and guard them from the chaos, not attacking the protestors.

I think the plainclothes officers are more scared of getting accidentally shot at by their own comrades.
such is the price of revolution

And they'd probably get jumped by other protesters.

Oh god the US statements are full of bullshit. Basically:
"Hey yes we know they took a shit on top of 80 million people for almost 30 years now, they fuck all the principles and rights we've been preaching in the past and during our foreign wars but hey:
Freedom, democracy, human rights, who needs these as long as they help us to keep those Arabic bastards busy."
I am pleasently surprised by Al Jazeera. In the past they were the gate for AlQuaida media releases so I thought they were muslim-conservatives but right now the footage and covering is pretty neutral so far.
Although pointing out that most of the rioting countries are US allies is devilishly true....

Don't shoot the messenger.

Sinai was given back in diplomatic agreement based on 6 October war outcome, if Israel was victorious they would have never gave back Sinai as they have took it in 1967
Egypt celebrates 6 October officially and Israel don't :)

AlHurra channel claims that buildings of the ruling party are being set on fire by the government agents themselves to cover the corruption they had and burn all important documents inside these buildings.
Are they talking about a military vehicle being stopped, or a police vehicle?
According to eyewitness reports from the Hilton hotel, looters entered and destroyed the hotel and no soldiers intervened, also the government is no where to be found and as said earlier likely fled.
Can anyone get the adress of the national museum or the egypt NDP headquarters? I want to have a look on Google maps but I couldn't find it.
The entire city is burning and the military is idle and only protecting buildings of strategic significance and not restoring order.
Everybody is waiting for the government I think, but nobody knows where the fuck they've gone

The only thing i know according to Google is that it is in downtown Cairo.

Fled or not, the odds aren't on their side.

I can partly understan the peoples anger after getting fired with tear-gas cannisters imprinted with "Made in USA" for a few days...
Hey, Mandela off hospital!
Everybody is waiting for the government I think, but nobody knows where the fuck they've gone
Probably disposing of evidence of corruption and other crimes.
Fled or not, the odds aren't on their side.
Well it's very likely that they fled, because Mubarak was supposed to give a speech hours ago and didint and no officials are there.

It's supposed to be near Tahrir Square unless I'm checking the wrong museum.
