Your mom is an idiot.

disown her
and then she'd be dead
Following Al Jazeera, the army is doing what they are really supposed to: They amass around important buildings of national interest(no matter who rules the country) and guard them from the chaos, not attacking the protesters.
I agree.
Found the museum: http://maps.google.de/maps?hl=de&safe=off&q=30%C2%B0+2%E2%80%B2+52%E2%80%B3+N,+31%C2%B0+14%E2%80%B2+0%E2%80%B3+E+&ie=UTF8&ll=30.048981,31.235483&spn=0.006074,0.013797&z=16&iwloc=near
I'm really surprised Al Jazeera is so neutral. I thought most, if not all major news sources were biased.

That's only in the US.

I checked the adresses around that building and they are all hotels? Is the headquarter not on the map?
Lol, i can see the looters on the news, they are carrying stolen furniture, Artwork (Museum could have been looted), electronics and bags, also according to sources, they are also stealing weapons.
So, apparently the protesters are protecting the museum.

I am pleasently surprised by Al Jazeera. In the past they were the gate for AlQuaida media releases so I thought they were muslim-conservatives but right now the footage and covering is pretty neutral so far.
I have been surprised by them various times. It seems that they end up releasing videos for al qaeda etc is because they are happy (and free) to report all sides of anything that is happening.
The National party's HQ has been on fire for 4 hours now.
So, apparently the protesters are protecting the museum.
Some are, but the others want to get in, also some of the Army are protecting it because it has all kinds of ancient Egyptian Artifacts, they will be worth large amounts of money of course.
The bottomline of Al-Jazeera says the protestors are guarding the museum. Thank god.
Sinai was given back in diplomatic agreement based on 6 October war outcome, if Israel was victorious they would have never gave back Sinai as they have took it in 1967
Egypt celebrates 6 October officially and Israel don't :)
It was a military victory for Israel. They managed to keep the lands occupied plus more, after being attacked from all sides, on the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. All Israel wanted was peace for themselves, and so a diplomatic agreement was reached.
One thing for sure is that Egypt was not victorious when the ceasefire was called.
There were some people who stole an armored vehicle and are getting on it.

First thing I'd do is take one and repaint it with graffiti or something.
Although this may be a step in the wrong direction, the violent direction.
Summary thus far-
Protesters in Cairo continue to converge on Tahrir Square. Police can't seem to hold them back. Police in Alexandria seem to have lost control to the demonstrators. Still conflicts in Suez between protesters and police.
The army have entered into Cairo but they do not seem to be enforcing the curfew they were ordered to by the government. They seem to be passively observing the events, but protesters seem to be welcoming them.
The Israeli Embassy has, unsurprisingly, been evacuated by helicopter. A comment from an "unnamed minister" in Netanyahu's government states their faith in Mubarak to overcome the protests. He also comes off with this:
"I'm not sure the time is right for the Arab region to go through the democratic process."
Mubarak, who was supposed to give a TV address to the public a few hours ago, hasn't done so. No word on where he is or what he is doing at the moment.
AlHurra network claims that the NDP HQ in Cairo may have been set on fire by government agents, possibly trying to prevent damning documents from falling into the hands of demonstrators and press.
Right now as of finishing this post, Al Jazeera has "Intense gunfire heard near key govt buildings in the Egyptian Capital"

Well i did see young people on the Tank or APC.
Next few hours are gonna be tense, with the government disappearing, the military hovering, and the people roaming around free with no laws or restrictions or anything.
Can you give us the locations of the NPD headquarters, the Al Jazeera building, and State Television building as we can't find them on google maps

I wonder what the white house statement will be.
Though I am guessing it's going to be the same as the US ambassador and Hillary Clinton.

This video is not available in your country. Fuck... :frown:
I'd be upset if these protesters don't succeed. That government needs to fall.
Fucking US, there was just a press conference from Washington, and a reporter asked "Why does the US continue to support governments with a lack of human rights" and the representative said something like, "Yes.. well... it's like China.."
One thing I've learnt today: America doesn't like violence.
Robert gates is speaking now and is saying that Obama still did not meet Mubarak and is saying that Egypt should restore internet and telephone lines and are monitoring the situation in Egypt and dosent want to state the details about Egypt right now according to the translation.
This may be a dumb question, but how would the protesters go about getting the country's internet back online?
One thing I've learnt today: America doesn't like violence.
Only when it doesn't favour them in any way.

As important as the Internet is, It'll probably be a good idea to get a (atleast temporary) government in place first.
One that isn't corrupt and in the pocket of any greedy nation.
Hopefully the army won't take over instead.

They should remove that, it's a nuisance.
