Meh. Obama has always been all talk. He talks nice, I'll give him that, but he never does anything.
Maybe because the republican party shoots down whatever plan he has.
Aydin speaks the truth.
Maybe because the republican party shoots down whatever plan he has.
Mayhaps, to be honest I don't really follow US politics that much, so I won't argue.
"so long as the protests are within the limits of the law" egyptian law forbids all protest, IIRC :colbert:
So it's a fallacy?
The only thing I don't understand is that if basically the entire country is fighting back, due to a bad situation, how the president even has followers? Surely everyone around him can see that they would gain from the situation if they were to simply deny him the ability to command them.
Who is the African Egyptian woman talking on the live feed?
Meh. Obama has always been all talk.
I admitted earlier that I don't follow American politics much.
You don't even need to follow American politics much at all to know those pretty basic examples, if you don't follow it enough to know whether he's done anything or not, why make the assumption that he hasn't?
I heard mixed things from people about him not taking action or rather enough action in regards to many issues that he promised to address. My personal concern with him includes one of these issues that he promised to deal with but hasn't, so there's my basis. I dont know if the ratio of things he did outnumbers those that he didn't, but if you can't handle something then don't make promises about it, especially when these things can be of great importance to people.

More tonight at 11
I love a good revolution. Good luck.
Best of luck in the upcoming days, may your revolution succeed.

God, this whole situation I can see causing a total Middle Eastern reform. Just hope if the government falls apart, they replace it with a none-radical government.
God, this whole situation I can see causing a total Middle Eastern reform. They voluntarily subject themselves to radical Muslim governments.
We can hope, but it's the middle east. They voluntarily subject themselves to radical Muslim governments.
yeah, either way, how ever this ends, this is going to be a major impact for the United States policy's towards the middle east. seeing as we are holding two wars in the region (well one now) and we economically depend on it. + the region breeds radicals that hate western culture.. Its pretty damn important for the rest of the world how this plays out.

Can anyone give me a brief situation change since this morning? Anyone know what's the deal with Yemen and Jordan?
Yeah, I'd like to know too. Have been out of the loop for several hours, and twitter is flooded with people posting yesterday's news ("OMG EGYPT HAS NO INTERNET????")
Huh, I didn't check out this thread for awhile because I thought it said I love bacon, anyways it's amazing what's going on.
better, updates please op.
better, updates please op.
The Egyptian government shut down all the ISP's today. so there won't be anymore updates till this is over is a safe assumption.
