Coulda been like, "hey op hope you're okay"
Announcing that you're on drugs isn't really necessary.
Anybody heard any more news?
Yes ... Its a new morning and the tyrant is still there :)
Hundreds started gathering in Tahrir square asking Mubarak him to leave , soon to be thousands again.
There have been accusations of corruption for Mubarak son and a businessman that is his friend , I don't really understand this one and I don't know if it proves anything but here is the document they started talking about

Mr Ala’a Mubarak
Gamal H. Mubarak
----
now that it is morning there I can see a very strange thing.
most of the tanks have a black writing on it saying " Down with Mubarak "
----
Demonstrations are back in Alexandria , from the same place it started yesterday
---
and they are restoring mobile and internet services partially in egypt
Who does this fucker think he's fooling by firing everyone but himself. Everyone only wants him out.

That's great news.
Does he have internet yet, I'd love to hear his experience.
That's great news.

not yet but i have heard some from them :D
they police threw tear gas on the people praying in Elaqaed Ibrahim mosque , and that is what made everyone very angry that they used molotov and burnt many police vehicles ... and btw , they burnt almost every police station in the city.
Army are siding people and many soldiers said to the people " you people did what we , the army, couldn't do."
more news to come :D
---
URGENT-RNN : professionals confirmed that the background in Mubarak's speech was not true but computer produced
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DtOr6BBOHg
don't know if this is true though .. wish someone could confirm
Thats such good news. I hope Voodoo gets on soon to tell us about his escapades.
Wow... "Down with Mubarak" on the tanks? just from hearing it (you have a better opinion since you are actually there) maybe people wrote that in the middle of the night or while they were swamping the tanks. Maybe a strategy to make the army (or was it presidential guard since it was said the army hasn't come in yet) look like they are against the president, to cause the police or other parts of the guard to fire on them or to cause chaos and confusion at the least? Just my thoughts
My prayers still go out to you and your brother and the whole of Egypt's people. I'm glad Voodoo and you are both safe. Its good to hear they haven't locked down Tahrir Square too. I just urge the protesters not to give up because you may not have the total backing of governments, but you have the backing of the entirety of the American, British, Dutch, Spanish, French ect people.
loading up the stream again. Going to watch it all day... again.
Come to think of it, now that I watch that speech video of him, the background doesn't look real. no shadows and I doubt in a time of complete anarchy they would be able to set something up like that.
I bet he fled or is in serious hiding.
I think one of the most memorable quotes to come from this is going to be from that guy in that video.
Reposting for people who missed it

"We wont be silenced whether you're a Christian, whether you're a Muslim, whether you're an Atheist. You will demand your goddamn rights! And we will have our rights one way or another! We will never be silenced!"
That is really inspirational. I wish I knew that guys name.
Me and my friends were watching the news when shit went down yesterday over there. All I can say is good luck, and give them hell.
I think the TV building is on fire, i guess they broke in and then set it on fire.
haha when he trips the people suddenly break through
or maybe he is performing a magical act
oh shit egyptian riot police are wizards
I wouldn't say he tripped, but tried to turn on the spot when he saw the fuckton of protesters coming towards them.
JFK is great for quotes about the protest like the one they used at the end of the video
Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.
A nation that is afraid to let its people judge the truth and falsehood in an open market is a nation that is afraid of its people.
This second one is so true for Mubarak. He is scared but somehow is too stubborn to give up his seat of power even though right now, he has none.
Get on the stream guys

the army was deployed in Cairo ( later on after presidential guards) , Suez and Alexandria
presidential guards were only sent to protect the TV building and the important government buildlings around it , the army is guarding the national museum , banks , embassies, etc
some people are thinking the army is there just because the police is tired and need a break , and that the riot police will be back , well .. lets hope not.

there is a theory that he is at sharm elsheikh city east of Egypt , its almost the only city hat had no demonstrations cause few Egyptians live in this rich city and its mostly for tourists ,I think he would never risk being in Cairo now

Probably. Even I'm watching the livestream and I didn't even know this thread existed. Been watching it since I left my friend's house. We're all keeping up on this and it's like 5 in the morning.
What are your opinions on the whole Sharia movement going on there? Is that just BS propped up by Mubarak?
Apparently the death toll rose to 53.
Apparently the death toll rose to 53.
Its over 100 in cairo only as Aljazeera said earlier, and over 20 in alexandria :(
more in suez probably
------
lol .... aljazeera reporter said the army have arrested about 40 of police wearing civilian clothes as they were trying to loot the national museum
The stream is really juttery for me
What are your opinions on the whole Sharia movement going on there? Is that just BS propped up by Mubarak?
It's total BS, these people demonstrate because Mubarak kept them poor and made them live in fear, Mubarak is just taking advantage of western paranoia.

Is it wrong if I wanted to kill the man after the first photo I saw?
What are your opinions on the whole Sharia movement going on there? Is that just BS propped up by Mubarak?
its bullshit.
What are your opinions on the whole Sharia movement going on there? Is that just BS propped up by Mubarak?
That's the kind of news you can find on Egyptian national TV :)
they are accusing the muslim brotherhood of doing all this to have US support
------
Alexandria : more than half million demonstrators in the streets are asking Mubarak to step down
Live ammunition is being fired is suez, actual gunshots from assault rifles are being heard.
[editline]29th January 2011[/editline]
I can also see them setting a fire department on fire, they stole fire extinguishers and electronics and closed the doors so it could burn
They said a short while ago the government has now resigned, and they're waiting for the prime minister to be announced
meanwhile Egypt doesn't give a fuck and still protests which is great
A Government building has been attacked Sinai.
Mohamed Elbaradei is now speaking on aljazeera
----
Alexandria : The Morgue has no more room for more martyrs..... :'(
I'd only stop protesting if Mubarak is out tbh.

Christ, everything about this guy screams "evil".
Also I heard he's going to appoint a new prime minister? I doubt these people will stand for that...
