Oh, and protests seem to be being held across the world as well. There's some outside the White House and some outside Egyptian embassies in the UK and France.

Water has been cut off by thugs in Alexandria.
Yea, according to eyewitnesses in one of Alexandria's districts, they say that thugs have cut off the water supply.

Egypt is turning French! The situation is more worse then we could have possibly imagined
I just had a discussion with a dude on Steam:
19:30 - LooperNor: Fuck, shit's going down in Egypt now.
19:30 - GigaByte: and just weeks after I was there :P
19:30 - GigaByte: I did nothing (a) xD
19:31 - LooperNor: ...
19:32 - GigaByte: xD
19:32 - LooperNor: I don't think it's funny to joke about with what's happening :/
19:33 - GigaByte: Who's said I am joking about with what's happening?
19:33 - LooperNor: "19:30 - GigaByte: and just weeks after I was there :P
19:30 - GigaByte: I did nothing (a) xD
"
19:34 - GigaByte: I wasn't joking about what's happening, it was a joke about me having something to do with it :P since it happened right after I left
19:34 - LooperNor: It still has something to do with it and I didn't find it funny
19:34 - LooperNor: but whatever
19:35 - GigaByte: the same is happening in afghanistan etc. and still you laugh of all the facebook-likes "what happens if you bomb afghanistan and iran: nothing, everybody is here"
19:36 - LooperNor: haven't even seen those "likes"
19:36 - GigaByte: i told you a few days ago and you said "lol"
19:36 - LooperNor: don't assume shit in discussions
19:36 - LooperNor: you definitely didn't send that
19:36 - LooperNor: and either way it's not the same situation happening in Egypt
19:37 - LooperNor: and you haven't even sent me anything like that so I don't know where you have that from, maybe you sent it to someone else
19:37 - LooperNor: and not me
19:37 - GigaByte: "don't assume shit in discussions"... I don't even know why I bother to have a fucking discussion with you. speak to one of those who are not stupid in your friends list then, because I am logging off
19:38 - LooperNor: lol ok
19:38 - GigaByte: yeah, cus that was soooooo funny -.-

Im here, thanks for your concern :)
I just called my family and they hear gunshots outside. many thugs around carrying guns and trying to break in. lucky there are Bedouin tribes in my area and they dealt with the thugs , killed one of them and the others fled ( No one dare to fight Bedouins :P)
----
ok im start to think that this is the scenario.
1- Mubarak is starting to lose control .. the crowds are way too many and sooner or later they will get to his palace & TV building then everything will be over.
2- Mubarak hired Omar seliman as vice president and Ahmed shafiq as PM - if you notice omar suleiman is the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate and the PM, ahmed shafiq , was the leader of egyptian airforces once before ... those people greatly admired in the military.
3- Mubarak is trying to buy time by releasing criminals , arming them and giving the police orders to work as thugs themselves , spread the terror, and make it look like civilans are bad , military may have to use force.
4- everyone is scared about his personal property / family(that would be a priority) and go to protect them
5- the result is , less people in the streets , people are temporarily ignoring him.. less demonstrators in the street , he bought himself good time to try and take control of everything once again , it will help him that the army will be more hostile due to all the " demonstrators who turned to be thugs"
only time will tell whether this is true or not ... I hope the people and army are smart enough to take down the bastrd
Right now its still impossible for a military coup to happened right? And you know, I have a strange feeling. I feel bad for those riot police, because they are doing their job. To earn money and feed their family, and they were forced to beat people.

Pharaoh isn't in Egypt. And neither is Random94.

True ,I wish I would've been there thought ... would've been busy throwing some Molotov :D
I tried to book a ticket yesterday but there are none for the entire week ..
I still think that the point of the new Prime Minister and the VP is to gain the support of the Army.
I've never been so concerned for another nation's future, and I have no idea why
I think I just really want them to be free, and to get justice on the oppressors
I really hate how every protest these days is branded "THE TWITTER REVOLUTION" or "THE FACEBOOK REVOLUTION!!!!"
I really hate how every protest these days is branded "THE TWITTER REVOLUTION" or "THE FACEBOOK REVOLUTION!!!!"
It is true, to some point.
1) The protesters organize themselves via social networking sites
2) The world gets detailed realtime updates within seconds.

Yeah, but of course they do. It would be news if they decided to organise with a mailing list
Commercial break.

[editline]29th January 2011[/editline]
Well, a short one
Yeah but now they need to stop saying that of course they're organized on the social networking sites. How else do you propose? Putting up posters?

Dude, that's crazy. And kinda legit at the same time. It reminds me of fallout, theres just gang warfare now and looters and people who defend against them (Bedouin tribes) right out on the streets and what not. Honestly thats pretty insane, this stuff hasn't happened since like the dark ages...
