Thats becoming scary... are they planning to use brute force?
I really hope nothing will happen. I just think that if it will, the army will protect its' citizens but a real war will break out, maybe between the police+presidential guard vs. army+seals.
But please, please, I really don't want anymore violence. I'm one that accepts it when its' needed, but deaths are just so unnecessary now. There's no point for Mubarak to do this, he will not win, he knows this. Whats his point? He wants to fuck up the country as much as he can before he leaves just to be a dick?
:\
He knows he can't win, and now he knows if he can't rule the country, then he'll take it down with him
Hopefully the army change his plans though, and fight with the people.
I'm going to stop watching the stream now. I have been watching it literally ALL WEEKEND from 8am till 4am in the morning the next day this whole 3 day weekend I've had.
I've had enough and nothing is going to happen tonight. They just keep going over the same stuff over and over again. If anything happens, it will be tomorrow morning when the police are back on the streets and unfortunately (from Pharaoh's post) armed with tear gas... Too bad I will be in school.
Even just watching the videos gets me all fired up. I love these guys.

Yeah, it's quiet now, but things might go to hell soon. We'll see if all those rumors about the police are true. I hope the army steps in to fight though.

national TV stated that orders given to police is to guard properties without stopping any demonstrations at all, but im sure people wont be fine with seeing those who killed their brothers and sisters.
many people said if they saw any policemen in the streets tomorrow the first thing to do will be to arrest them. :P

arrest them?
I would imagine killing them would be more realistic to expect.
The people don't want any violence. They'll arrest them to show that they don't want them there, but I doubt they will want to kill them.
But then again, like pharaoh said, some of those whose families have been hurt or killed even might feel the sense of revenge. But there hasn't been as many deaths compared to the total population of protesters, so I think they will still want to show that they're peaceful people.

Can't be a rebellion with out some violence.
well the people have showed they are really civilized , they said they will arrest them and make sure the army keep them detained but that doesn't mean they will get away with it.
another thing is that the people did not try to attack the presidential palace and dealing with Mubarak themselves , those who were not stopped by 350,000 riot police forces wont be stopped by 22,000 presidential guards. but they respect the army and wait for them to deal with Mubarak.

Such disgusting underhanded tactics they resort to using in order to keep themselves in power. You can damn well presume Mubarak knows and plans on such things in order to quell the rebellion.
Oh my God.
If the police are ordered to be everywhere else in the streets and not to be in Tahrir Square... and Mubarak plans to send the police dressed as civilians... More people are going to be in Tahrir Square tomorrow at that time they plan to turn the military against the protesters. Since people don't want to deal with the police on the streets again.
Is he plotting on swarming the majority of the protesters there for a massacre? Oh God I hope the military doesn't fire... Oh God.
This is just a theory but what else would he do? Police everywhere else BUT the square... protesters worn and tired and don't want to fight the police again. Not as many going to be in the streets and mostly in the square... maximize number of casualties with the military retaliation plan?
Praying extra hard tonight and tomorrow. AND I HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TOMORROW WHEN HISTORY IS IN THE MAKING! FUCK!
video from Abu-Zabal prison where police and prison security massacred political prisoners yesterday
about 170 dead

Ok, 100% seriously speaking on the FOX pic. How are they still allowed to be a news channel? Considering that picture is not fake. It's like they're trying to make Americans dumber on purpose.
Mubarak is a most witty asshole
Mubarak is a most witty asshole
understatement of the century.
he is like a little Hitler or little Stalin. This guy is fucked up beyond belief.
I just sent this to Al-Jazeera. I hope they spread this out, about the police being dressed as civilians to provoke the army... That must be the worst news that have come in so far. I'm really worried now.
Shit. Ive always been one to support global events but I've never been this concerned, so much that I can hear my heart beating. I'm really worried for those people there now, as if I know all of them.
Edit: At the same time I think the army would find it strange for the civilians to act hostile. Plus they already had to deal with armed thugs. Im guessing they plan to release this civilian police in large numbers though, which is what might make the difference. I really dont know...

you're getting worked up from a unconfirmed post on facepunch about something that sounds batshit insane?
hold your pants until you find out what you're hearing is true.
its the internet, god damn, have people forgotten that you can't trust everything you hear.

It's not just an unconfirmed post on Facepunch:

It's just rumors so far, and I really hope it's not true, but considering how desperate Mubarak has seemed so far, I wouldn't be surprised.
How does it feel to have a government that shares complicity with an illegal blockade that only impacts civilians?
Did you need to bring Israel into this.

Dude are you serious, it's not just an unconfirmed post from facepunch as Larpar said, and besides if it is true and nobody even reports it, by the time it's confirmed it might be too late. Everyone should be aware of all rumors, no matter whether they're confirmed or not.

Twitter/facebook/facepunch dosn't equal shit in factual infomation.
getting worked up over a rumor that sounds like a bad plot line to a die hard movie, thats being posted on twitter/facebook is ridiculous.

not in this situation my friend .
internet is cut in egypt and there are no officials to speak.
the only source for information right now are people who call from egypt and tell their relatives/friends abroad . then those abroad contact aljazeera/alarbeya / RNN and ask them to track the news and confirm , at the same time people post what they heard on twitter/facebook.
I know its not the right way in normal situations , but this is an exceptional one.

What the actual fuck? No matter what the convicts did, this is not justified at all.
good luck man.
fight for your freedom!

okay, so your going off rumors from people who obtained rumors from within the country.
A rumor, within a rumor, within a twitter post.

they are not killing them for what they did ( all they did actually is being against mubarak regime)
but they are killing them probably because they don't want them to talk about what was happening in these political prisons , or thats what many people think.

we are not saying rumors, we are telling news that are not yet confirmed because they came directly from witnesses not from news networks. thats why we ask news networks to confirm them :)
and btw , I was accused of spreading a rumor 12 hours cause i talked about the massacre of prisoners in Abu-Zabal's prison. aljazeera confirmed it later on.

If the government starts to lose control, first thing i think they would do is kill off all the prisoners so its easier to control the situation.
500 dead convicts is better for the whole state then 500 convicts running in the streets with guns looting.
its very desperate and wrong, don't try to take this as me trying to justify it.
just a possible explanation.

umm ... those who were killed were political prisoners , not criminals
