they are not killing them for what they did ( all they did actually is being against mubarak regime)
but they are killing them probably because they don't want them to talk about what was happening in these political prisons , or thats what many people think.
----
we are not saying rumors, we are telling news that are not yet confirmed because they came directly from witnesses not from news networks. thats why we ask news networks to confirm them :)
and btw , I was accused of spreading a rumor 12 hours cause i talked about the massacre of prisoners in Abu-Zabal's prison. aljazeera confirmed it later on.
ugh buddy, unconfirmed news, IS THE DEFINITION OF A RUMOR!
[editline]30th January 2011[/editline]
umm ... those who were killed were political prisoners , not criminals
So political prisoners can't fight?
you implying politicians are weak?
I'm just offering up a possible explanation.
Twitter/facebook/facepunch dosn't equal shit in factual infomation.
getting worked up over a rumor that sounds like a bad plot line to a die hard movie, thats being posted on twitter/facebook is ridiculous.
Then why the fuck does Al Jazeera (and maybe others) have a whole segment part of their hourly report just for twitter posts from regular people? Stop being a fucking dick and help. Where do you expect to find factual information? And Pharaoh has family there, so of all people he's the one to trust here.
Edit: He means political prisoners not because they are politicians idiot, but because they were imprisoned for protesting or being part of a protest organization.
The government wouldnt just give up so easily. I cant see this ending without some sort of violence. Hope all goes according to plan for you guys.
Jesus christ.
i read that in james voice lol

that still dosn't prevent them from ugh rebelling.
I would imagine a prisoner of any kind of imprisonment is far more likely to cause more trouble then the average citizen, political or not.
You would imagine the UN would step in by now though.
okay, so your going off rumors from people who obtained rumors from within the country.
A rumor, within a rumor, within a twitter post.
Because the media never utilizes rumors. Right?
The government wouldnt just give up so easily. I cant see this ending without some sort of violence. Hope all goes according to plan for you guys.
"The government" is pretty much just one man now, and a lot of people are against him, including alot of senior ranked people in the army. "The government" has no choice but to give up.
I couldn't help but notice a distinct lack of wikileaks involvement/reports about this.
There were some wikileaks stuff yesterday actually.
Also the government isn't one man, he has the VP and PM and a lot of other politicians. :\

I didn't mean normal protesters
those people were taken from their homes by night visitors , sent to prison directly ... no court no lawyer ... nothing.
just because they are considered as a threat to Mubarak's regime, some of them have been there for years while their families don't even know where they are. These people are the worst evidence against Mubarak and his regime
police wont kill them just to keep the streets clean , because the millions of demonstrators already made 350,000 riot police forces flee , 170 won't make any difference
Is it just me or does the 35th page refuses to load for me and keeps going back to page 34?
Edit: Nevermind, apparently there was no post here, although it still showed up. Well, now there is.

well if thats true, you could look at it on a positive light.
Its a sign that mubarak is about to flee.

Yeah they are getting rid of every evidence .
I know many people here don't believe what we say about the police and Mubarak plan cause it sound way too evil for human, I understand that as you people live in places where things like this would never happen , for years in Egypt people have been disappearing ,and being tortured ,I would show you some of Egyptian police videos but im not sure if its right to post something like that here

Trust me guys, it's true, these people are evil in every sense of the word and nothing they do is ever too evil for them. The things they do now aren't even the limit of what they can do. If they had to nuke the damn Tahrir square, they'd do it.
This burns me up so much.
Rebellion is something I'm to afraid to participate in, I respect the efforts of you guys.
Best of luck.
I just went to dinner but I turned on the stream on my android and listened to it from there.
Lol.
Edit: Al Jazeera reports that the police is showing up again and seems to be returning to the streets.
Also gun fire heard on Tahrir square apparently.

lol its 8:24 am here and i cant sleep cause i dont want to miss anything
no information yet about the tahrir shooting
I feel bad for living in a peaceful country, doing nothing but holding my thumbs for you.
If there's a change of regime I'll promise to donate to wherever it'll be.
Im feeling really tired from following this in the last 3 days. It's becoming very overwhelming and I can't even get myself to leave the stream because I dont want to miss anything. I'm becoming so worried for those people.
I really hope this is over soon. It's really starting to reach out and affect people around the world.
Mubarak should seriously go die already though :\
Still 09 Thanks , your solidarity is enough :)

Al Jazeera reported a tweet that said that plain clothes police have appeared at neighborhood watches and asked that when they come back to please not beat them.
Wtf??
Are they asking them to not beat them when they're going to come back and hurt people again, or provoke the army to shoot?
Or do they perhaps mean that they are also on their side, and want to look like they're following orders but will actually not hurt anyone and turn against the government?
Or are they the ones who are ordered to just protect locations, but they know that noone will welcome them?
Speculation speculation...

national TV states that police will be back in streets to protect properties without having anything to do with demonstrations. something like " we sent them back to protect you but not to stop your demonstrations"
but the funny this is that " police asking people not to beat them up " ... I've spent 20 years of my life in Egypt and i have been treated like shit by police many times , they have arrested my brother voodooattack before just because he was not scared from them when they asked for his ID, they didn't like it that someone is not scared from them so they took him to the police station. I know people who were tortured by them and others who were killed by them. when i went back to visit Egypt last year with my Malaysian wife , she was was treated very well as foreigner
while i was treated like crap and yelled at even in the airport.
Sorry for talking much but reading that that the police is asking the people not to beat them up makes me almost want to cry , I'm sure many other Egyptians feel the same :'(
No dude I understand. I dont know why they're doing that, they know it won't work then.
Al Jazeera reports some vans driving up, possibly with troops or police forces.
Why are they coming back to protect things? I thought the army is already protecting key buildings and areas?

They want to look good, seeing as they are now all in the spot light of the world media.
they are talking about protecting residential buildings and organizing traffic

thats true also , they want to restore the image of police
funny thing is that people dont trust police to protect them , they were saying on aljazeera " we don't need police to protect us anymore ,we're doing just fine guarding ourselves " and another guy said " I don't know why did we form police at the first place"
It's to put the protesters in bad light. The police have killed members of their families, put terror over Egyptians for years, and now that the protesters aren't afraid and want revenge, there's a chance they'll attack the police, and making the protesters seem like the bad side.
It's a good plot, but the protesters know better than to attack them.

Interesting tweet.
Is the whole Arab world really going to erupt?
One thing thats a MILD prediction but I hope comes out of this is some kind of change in oil production. Maybe this will cause major oil disruptions and finally cause people to go green on a larger scale.

They have been talking about this on the news and in the newspapers in the UK for the last few days, there is real concern of a domino effect across the entire area it seems.

Sudan : there have been some protests but its not really that big yet
Algeria : thousands have been protesting in the last few days
Libya : no one is protesting at the moment and I have no information of any future plan , but they have the worst dictatorship in the world as he has been the leader of libya for the last 42 years, thats a record.
Morocco :their king , Mohammed the 6th, is another dictatorship but i have no idea if anyone there is planning for revolutions

I am no expert (and I don't claim to be) but I thought that the people in Sudan have (almost) gotten what they want (the country to be split up)?
