Think the protesters will actually fight or if the numbers are tipped in their favour enough?
yeah , but the army will see civilians attacking civilians .. army wont be so friendly after that
:( This is really bad. People are getting hurt. Why does this have to happen... I can't believe Mubarak is doing this. And why didn't the people march to his palace Tuesday. It delayed everything, they should go now, but now they're losing momentum... and someone threw smoke too. Sigh.
Think the protesters will actually fight or if the numbers are tipped in their favour enough?
The BBC were reporting that "fist fights" had broken out a little while ago. They were also reporting that the Mubarak supporters were taking down the blockades that the anti Mubarak people set up, and that the army is apparently sitting in the middle of everything taking no side. The one thing I wonder is why did the Mubarak supporters not appear earlier? Surely if they really supported him they would have been out on the streets from the start of the protests. Edit: BBC seem to be reporting a "tense stand off" now. Also, is Al Jazeera allowed to broadcast from Egypt again? Or are they just able to now? They seem to have live video from their reporters now.
How about not rioting against the goverment next time??
Hello American! Lets see what your opinion is in a couple of years, when you finally realize what your government is doing/did to you (Just so you know, when that happens it will be too late).

Al Jazeera are reporting that the pro-Mubarak protests are being led by a truck broadcasting patriotic music being driven by uniformed police officers and being guarded by uniformed police officers. And apparently they are standing around the state run TV. If the bit about uniformed police officers is true, that is shocking (but not unsurprising)
Yeah that would make sense. Deploying their own faux-protesters to give a false sense of diversity.
shitcurity is griffin wit batin waaaa ban he
well i Just called voodoo , he and everyone else say that those pro Mubarak are secret police and they are all determined , they don't believe Mubarak lies , and they wont give up!!
Al Jazeera are reporting that the army are standing on their tanks with just the Egyptian flag telling people enough is a enough. If that is true it's an interesting tactic. [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] Apparently 8 pro Mubarak protesters charged into the anti Mubarak protesters on horses (and a camel).
Army warns pro-Mubarak from assaulting protesters and assures that interference will be firm: Al Jazeera
Al Jazeera are saying that police ID has been found on some of the pro Mubarak supporters. I wonder if there's any truth to that.
Al Jazeera are saying that police ID has been found on some of the pro Mubarak supporters. I wonder if there's any truth to that.
true , people showed the IDs to the camera on aljazeera arabic
"Thankfully I had steel-capped boots. They work well against police indeed." OH MY GOD YOU BADASS
Al Jazeera are saying that police ID has been found on some of the pro Mubarak supporters. I wonder if there's any truth to that.
Just how dumb would you have to be to carry it with you
They're getting closer to each other, just throwing rocks. As dumb as it may sound, I'd love to see two crowds rush at each other and fight, [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] And they attacked! [editline]2nd February 2011[/editline] Better run, fuckers.
and here is the first day in Mubarak's transition period which he promised ....
and here is the first day in Mubarak's transition period which he promised ....
Sure looks peaceful.
Ministry of Interior denies sending its security forces in plain cloth to Tahrir: Al-Arabiya as if they would admit lol
BBC are reporting that money is being offered to people to be pro Mubarak supporters. (I suspect they are a bit behind everyone else with this reporting)
the question is , where did pro Mubarak protests get horses lol --- police IDs , any egyptian can recognize them
BBC are saying that apparently the Egyptian government has "rejected calls for power transition". The BBC were saying that the calls were coming from other countries. So if this is true, which country asked him to get out.
We (the UK) did, apparently.
Oh really, I need to keep up more. Was it hints like the US (Egypt needs orderly transition etc) or was it straight forward, (IE Leave, now).
Back on-line, possibly going back off-line because they might just pull the plug again at any given moment. Here's a dump of some of the photos on my phone, this is where I was on 28 January 2011 at Alexandria. Burning Central Sec. vehicles at Al-Qua'ed Ibrahim Mosque in the middle of the city before we managed to put them out: I spray painted "FP" on one of the vehicles for shits and giggles after we put them out: Sprayed 'حريه' which translates to 'Freedom': On my way back to a relative's house (where I crashed for the night with the rest of my family), I photographed 'Al-attaareen' Police dept. which was on fire: And here you can see the empty police vehicles after riot police fled the scene around the corner:
