What happened to free speech? Come on, police. Be human. Why am i getting dumbs? What the hell.
hopefully when new government comes into power all of the police involved in murder or brutality can be feel the consequences of their inhuman actions for once in their life.
I pray to Buddha and any other diety who might listen that Mubarak doesn't do something drastic. [editline]5th February 2011[/editline] It is indeed beautiful and something I'd like to be able to partake in, not because it's cool, but to have a purpose.
Buddha is NOT a god...
They are shooting innocent people? Sick, sick men
Hope you guys take down that bastard Mubarak.
I died on the inside after watching that video, doesn't help much that it just went viral. Viral rage more like, because that's what I'm fed every time that link shows up. What a waste of human life.. that guy had dreams, aspirations, and could've built something, could've given this country his life in better ways.. and now all of that is lost because some fucker thought that killing him would teach everybody else a lesson. well, you fucking sent the wrong message asshole.. and I swear with all that is and isn't holy, If I had any way of tracking you down you'd be licking mud that is mixed with your own intestines and vile blood right now. /well deserved rant
@That_Crazy_Gman All governmental policies in Arabia hardly represent (if not completely contradict) the wills of the people. After 6th of October (What the west calls 'yom kippur'), Sadat switched his politics and traded his image on the inside for a new glamorous one on the international arena. I hope his Nobel was well worth plunging his own country into what we see today, Mubarak followed in his stead.
I said that wrong. [editline]6th February 2011[/editline] I was also youngish and didnt know much about politics when the attack happened. So I really shouldnt be mentioning that dark day. so whats changed in the last 24 hours?
Thread needs to be stickied. Bless the Egyptians and the demand for their rights, and the work for their cause.
so whats changed in the last 24 hours?
In no specific order: All of the NDP leadership resigned. (Gamal Mubarak included) President of the national TV resigned. Egypt stops pumping natural gas to Israel and Jordan because of an explosion in the main gas line leading there. The army tries to deploy tanks into Tahrir square but fails as protesters sit blocking the way. SMS services are back up. [editline]6th February 2011[/editline] @That_Crazy_Gman Doesn't matter, and I don't think 6th of October is a dark day in the slightest. [editline]6th February 2011[/editline] Now something to cheer myself up: This has to be the most memorable wedding ever.
What happened to free speech? Come on, police. Be human. Why am i getting dumbs? What the hell.
Egypt is (or was before the revolution) the 29th most dictatorial state in the world, according to Democracy Index 2010. Free speech is probably not present in Egypt.
Buddha is NOT a god...
I'm aware of that but as I do not believe in a certain diety I chose to praise Buddha for his wisdom. I did although hope that any other god that might or might not exist would hear my plea. [editline]6th February 2011[/editline]
Thread needs to be stickied. Bless the Egyptians and the demand for their rights, and the work for their cause.
I agree, when I read it at it's creation I thought it would be a short outlet of anger into something a little bit funny. I never imagined I'd gain so much information and details of the lives and situation of the protestors.
Seeing that video and reading the updates makes me hope they hang Mubarak in public. He doesn't deserve to just waltz off after what he's put everyone through.
I was reading about Mubarak's reputation for dealing with human rights, Jesus a Narwhal would have done better than him. I hope he burns.

I misunderstood.
Those riot cops have no idea what they're doing. They run in mobs, they spread out into the crowd, throw rocks, and seem to have no real idea what they're doing. Ideally they would be in intimidating lines, with shields out in front. PRO TIP: To make a flamethrower, fill a regular water gun with windshield washing detergent, tape a lit match to the front, and pull the trigger. Depending on the gun, it can go 5 to 15 feet.
And with such burn all your friends because you are a dumbass who uses it in a large group of riot people. Understand a cop beating you is not as bad as a flaming cop hugging you. Nor is it worth also setting innocent people on fire.

So Glen Beck really thinks the protesters are Islamic extremists? What the FUCK! Hes just as bad as the posters on here who don't read the whole thread or don't research whats going on before saying "Mubarak is a benevolent leader" or some stupid shit like that. I WANTED to cut him some slack but this is just outright RETARDED!
Fuck all the other government types, have a counsel-run technocracy (The smartest and most Tech adept people are candidates for government, people vote so many in to be the ruling counsel.)

He's a populist and populism tends to be successful.
Voodoo, forgive me, 53 pages is a lot to read for one detail. How well are you recovering from the blow to the head? Anything that blurs your vision and gives you a sense of euphoria is usually not good for your health. Has your vision cleared?
Fuck all the other government types, have a counsel-run technocracy (The smartest and most Tech adept people are candidates for government, people vote so many in to be the ruling counsel.)
That's what the NDP was prior to yesterday (and probably still will be). Gamal Mubarak and Ahmad Ezz (proprietor of Ezz Steel) are to blame. Technocracy is what's been dragging us down for the past 10-20 years, and is the main incentive behind this revolt, we've been ruled by greedy business men that sold everything they could get a hold on whether they had the right to or not, our previous government was a technocratic capitalistic one that helped them do this, and yet the returns never reach the common man, we only got cancers and heart diseases from the dirty industries that flourished on our soil. Mubarak is just a big scary puppet that slumbered on his seat of power and left this country to rot. Would you be surprised to know that some of the thugs hired to attack the protesters at Tahrir square were actually hired by NDP-aligned business men? Last week I got a shrapnel in my right eye that temporarily turned my left eye (the blurry one) into my good eye, but the resulting infection is now fully healed too. Both are fine I think. What I'm struggling with right now is lung problems. I got a bad case of influenza in my attempts to put out the burning vehicles I posted photos of a couple of pages ago. (That's what you get for getting yourself soaking wet at night in a windy coastal area) In addition to forcefully putting me to sleep, my meds aren't really working as expected. I hope this isn't pneumonia. [editline]6th February 2011[/editline]
Fuck.
They also use Netsweeper, I mentioned that on my blog (in Arabic) long before this ever happened and have been using Tor ever since.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Technocracy It means that scientists and engineers are the ones who rule a country. I'm not sure there has ever actually been a true technocracy ever. I believe it would be a good thing.
