Abortion has it's own problems too. It can mess some people up really badly down there.
You're right, but either way it will mess you up, abortion is just the lesser.
Humans will always be humans; fighting to control one another.
Just like Communism/Australia banning everything.

:jerkbag:
I think it should be the parents' choice up until the fetus is capable of surviving outside the womb. Then it should only be done if the mother's life is in danger.
I personally really disagree with abortion but I believe the choice should be left up to each couple/parent to decide for themselves whether or not they want an abortion.
its more like just not having a baby instead of killing it.
Abortion has it's own problems too. It can mess some people up really badly down there.
Those problems are many times more likely to happen if abortions are illegal since desperate women will just get illegal abortions which are very dangerous.
Always keep in mind that making something illegal doesn't mean it stops happening.
Christians should fund birth control technology if they hate abortion so much. or be more excepting of gays which dont have abortion.
At that age, the being inside a woman is literally only a parasite. As such, I think it's the woman's explicit decision whether or not to carry it to term.

christians are against abortion but complain about women who can't support their children and have to seek government help

I'm a Christian, and I am in full support of abortion, even though I find it cruel and can potentially alter the future in a negative direction.
Fuck this shit.
In a study from the 90's, legalized abortion led to a BIG crime drop...I support it.

Looks like someone just read Freakono-
Oh wait. That video...
You do realize that "study" could have been correlated with anything, right?
Regardless, I support it, Roe vs. Wade, they have the right, et cetera.
Fun fact: The crime rate in the United States dropped significantly roughly 20 years after Roe v. Wade made abortion legal. The reason? Those children who weren't aborted only because it was illegal, tended to have rough childhoods, and often grew into a life of crime. So, when mothers could abort their children legally rather than have to carry it to term, the problem was mitigated. So abortion being legal actually has a direct tie to lower crime rates.
After abortion was legalized, the availability of abortions differed dramatically across states. In some states like North Dakota and in parts of the deep South, it was virtually impossible to get an abortion even after Roe v. Wade. If one compares states that had high abortion rates in the mid 1970s to states that had low abortion rates in the mid 1970s, you see the following patterns with crime. For the period from 1973-1988, the two sets of states (high abortion states and low abortion states) have nearly identical crime patterns. Note, that this is a period before the generations exposed to legalized abortion are old enough to do much crime. So this is exactly what the Donohue-Levitt theory predicts. But from the period 1985-1997, when the post Roe cohort is reaching peak crime ages, the high abortion states see a decline in crime of 30% relative to the low abortion states. Our original data ended in 1997. If one updated the study, the results would be similar.)
...Deepest appologies good sir.

Apologies. :specialschool:
I'm completely for it
the fetus isn't conscious, there's no reason to act like you're somehow taking away something if you don't give birth to it.
I honestly don't understand the whole problem with it. Why say "what if" if the child never existed in the first place? Who exactly does an abortion negatively affect (besides the soccer moms crying about the "what if" factor)?
Abortion should be mandatory for everyone.
It should be available until the twentieth trimester
Rape victims wouldn't want to carry a baby from a criminal. The child could also question about their father in the future, he/she wouldn't want to know that their father was a rapist.
There are plenty of more reasons for abortion.
It's the parent's choice, really. The kid isn't going to suffer from an abortion, he's just never going to have been.
