The poll was talking about the parents of the child in question, not the parents of the person who is getting the abortion.
Up to 8 weeks a child may be aborted for any reason, after that the reasons get stricter and stricter. 8 weeks is the lowest estimate of when an unborn child can feel pain, and these rules must be moderated on the amount of evidence on when an unborn child can feel pain.

I will not call anyone dumb no matter what their opinion is on abortion as I understand both sides completely and a middle ground is best, although I am a bit biased in favour of the statement "If you find abortion wrong then don't get an abortion, don't force your morality on other people", but the issue is in my opinion about the pain the unborn child goes through.
Of course, abortion is a great thing, no reason to ban it/disagree with it.
Abortions need to be legalized for men and women of all ages and they should be free at wallmart.

So killing babies for no reason is OK. The problem with this issue is there are two sides arguing and not compromising for a middle ground.
The fact is often women aren't told all the facts, like what the procedure consists of and the fact that it isn't a risk free procedure that can cause infertility and infections in rare cases. I personally think research needs to be done to see at what stage an unborn child can feel pain, and base legislation on that.
Until then, I think there should be a fine scale of what reasons are necessary, from 8 weeks and above. I suggest under 8 weeks there can be an abortion for any reason and up to birth it the life or physical health of the mother is in danger or a serious defect in the child that means it is impossible for it to survive for long without a lot of pain.
I think under certain circumstances is it mildly acceptable. If having the child would pose a major threat to the mother (dying in child birth, etc.) it is acceptable. Otherwise, have the kid and fucking put it up for adoption.
