Yeah "mate" I am aware. But if you are expecting a good story from a game like gears of war then you are not really that smart :).
You keep bringing up that game specifically as if it's the only one she mentioned...
She mentioned it like twice.
I've got the feeling you didn't bother watching the video considering she names a lot more games than just COD and gears.
i wonder why
it doesnt appeal to them hobby wise? you are overthinking the fuck out of why women dont like to play games often. I knew plenty of lady friends who played games and that was their hobby. i knew plenty of guys who didnt like games as a hobby.
only men are born with the Gamerâ„¢ gene

Do you think there is something in the female brain that makes it so video games cant be an inherently appealing hobby? Like I've said previously the gaming community is already pretty sexist as it is and this sexism is only further perpetuated by the writing of said games. Things don't just happen and often do require thinking in to, and there is a reason these games don't appeal to many women.

Women don't play that because they are too busy with real life activities. A woman is not going to choose playing a video game over going to a party or some trip or dating guys. At least the majority. Anyway her rant is retarded, she should do reviews or something. I AMMM OOUTTAAA HEREEEE

Do you know many women?

So, you never ever talked to a woman right?
Excuse me for living in a country where women are not interested in games. Women here don't even know what an xbox is. Yes I know a lot of women and I love your reactions. I am actually laughing hard

im saying the reason maybe they dont like tripple A games is because of the type of game it is, dont try to act like i just think women enjoy makeup and bullshit. maybe theres a stereotype that games=losers/nerds. if gender roles were flipped, most men would still play the game if they enjoy the gameplay.

you know every woman in Greece?
whOA
its not even the game 90% of the time but the player base which will probably never ever change.
you know every woman in Greece?
woah
I know most of the women in my age in my hometown and most of the girls in my university. You don't live in my country so you don't know how far behind we are in gaming.

Regardless of that I think it's pretty ignorant of you to generalize every woman in your country based on purely anecdotal evidence.
Just drop it dude.

It'll change as trends in writing and whats games are about changes. The less male power fantasy games with submissive women the less inherent sexism in the community.

I insist though. Don't care if you belive or not I said what I had to say. You people are still in denial but her rant is really pointless.

yeah in a fuckload something years, male archetypes have been in plenty of stories over thousands of years. good luck changing it in your lifetime
yeah in a fuckload something years, male archetypes have been in plenty of stories over thousands of years. good luck changing it in your lifetime
Since the middle ages it's been like that.

a lot has changed in just 50 years on the means of gender roles and race roles. The civil rights movement happened in the 60s and that was without internet. It's the age of instant knowledge now, revolutions and protests can be planed in a matter of minutes. Change is already happening nad you can see it pretty plainly if you just look.
Oh shit guys It's always been like that, no sense changing it now!
Pack up and go home, everyone.
Since the middle ages it's been like that.
even before then, ever read the odyssey
Since the middle ages it's been like that.
middle ages also known as the dark ages. Using that as a premise is pretty flimsy considering that is one of the most renowned periods of time for the atrocities committed against humanity.
Since the middle ages it's been like that.
Because society hasn't changed since the fucking Middle Ages. I for one regularly attend witch burnings and go on crusades
hi modernism, post-modernism, and post-colonialism have already happened, male archetypes and tropes have changed radically just in the 20th century alone
It'll change as trends in writing and whats games are about changes. The less male power fantasy games with submissive women the less inherent sexism in the community.
I think you have it the wrong way around. I doubt changing the stories of games to be less sexist will significantly influence many women to play games or become part of the industry. On the other hand if women do become a larger portion of the audience and a larger female presence develops in the industry then it might influence less sexist games.

its harder to change gender roles in media period compared to women in public. changing games' archetypes wont really do anything and there is no problem to it. there are plenty of regular female heroes out there, people just like to pick on the over sexualized select few.

Way more than a select few are over sexualized which by the way isn't a problem in and of it'self. a woman can be over sexualized what the fuck ever. It's when her femininity is used to portray weakness.

You just can't accept my opinion! And you are insulting me in my language! But it's a shame that you can't handle an arguement without insulting me you know. Good thing I didn't drop down to your level mate :)
