It goes fast enough so it doesn't have to be sharp.
Also, black holes, no matter how badass they are, aren't even proven to be real yet. I know this is the theoretical weapon system thread, but that's a little far-fetched.
Ah about them not being real, we dont have physical proof, but scientests have observed stars and other masses traveling at extremely high speeds around what appears to be nothing, and if they are not real, why is the government wasting money on it, wait sorry they do that with EVERYTHING.
...
We've observed the effects of black holes numerous times, I'm not sure where you're getting the "not proven yet"
We've seen blackness. A whole lot of it. That means we see nothing, and then something going into nothing.
That's all we've observed.
Also, "white holes" are yet to be found that spit out the matter of a black hole.

We've also observed the particles and gases ejected from black holes, along with other effects present with this phenomenon.
Active denial system - that one you are talking about is a microwave gun.
I'm being entirely serious

Funny thing, this isn't entirely non-lethal, crank up the output and you can burst eardrums, induce vomiting, disorientation and fainting.

Correct, now prove that somthing other than a black hole can do this, if you cant then your not proven thingy is false, and it IS false.

uh we've seen a lot more than that..
something goes in, X-rays/Radio signals come out.

See, Xeni knows his stuff. Why cant you just go with it maaaan.

Eh, I don't have to make up my own hypothesis to try to question another. Let's just get on with death rays and such, this is getting off topic.
I lose :(
I think we as a species must capitalize more on flamethrowers.

Make secondary fire options on ALL guns that utilize flamethrowers.

I also heard we've discovered a blackhole emitting a gamma ray beam, not entirely sure of the specifics.
P.S. Someone got a sense of humor, I think I remember this particular phenomenon being labeled "a death star"

Black holes are pretty much PROVEN TO BE REAL, AND GODDAMNIT JUST CAUSE YOU CANT SEE ANYTHING, DOESNT MEAN IT ISNT THERE. WHAT ABOUT AIR HUH? BITCH AIR IS REAL EVEN THOUGH YOU CANT SEE IT, WHITE HOLES ARE KINDA IFFY, THEY HAVENT FOUND ANY CASES OF ONE, OH GOD DAMNIT CAPS LOCK.

Isnt that quasar? cus those are Like black holes but emit FUCKING EXTREME AMOUNTS OF GAMMA RAYS, EXTREEEEEMEEEEEEE.
A weapon that, by using a violent exothermic reaction, greatly increases the average internal kinetic energy of the surrounding system in the weapon's immediate vicinity, inducing a pressure anomaly which, while propagating through the system, can cause structural damage to living tissue on macroscopic level.

White holes can't exist
As I was saying earlier, another major system that can change everything is nanotech. Once that is developed our worlds will most definitely change for good.
White holes can't exist
They HAVE TO, unless the fact that you cannot destroy infomation is wrong, because lets say a star goes into a black hole, all those atoms are energy, energy is not destroyed, only converted, and white holes spit out the goobled up energy as somthing new.

You mean matter, not information.
And get back with the weapons!

No, I'm thinking of a blackhole that is one way or another maintaing a beam. Where the phenomenon your thinking of emits a burst of gamma rays.

Sci-fi channel made a movie about nanobots eating cities, so not all good. sci-fi will make a b-movie proving somthing you say is wrong.
no matter what.

The matter isn't destroyed.. Do you even know what happens in a black hole?
ITT Not-astrophysicists.

Be nice if we had buckybule(spelling?) armor, too. Or reactive armor that hardens on contact.

It all comes down to a matter of functionality and control over said mini-machines.

Star Trek: The Next Generation made an episode about nanobots messing up the ship's main computer, because Wesley is an irresponsible shit. As long as we have fail-safe measures to them, we'll be fine. Unless they fail...

Oh, yeah black holes will spit out energy and stuff, but not ALL the energy, also to who said black holes cant eat galaxies, scientest have found supermassive black holes in the center of all observable galaxies, so i guess one day if the sun didnt go red giant on us, wed go into the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy, how else do the galaxies spin.

How would you get the balls to stay together?

Fail-safe is verrrrrryyy contradicting, why do we want a safety feature to fail...
so i guess one day if the sun didnt go red giant on us, wed go into the supermassive black hole at the center of our galaxy, how else do the galaxies spin.
what
How would you get the balls to stay together?
BY USING BALLS OF STEEL

Flawed fail-safes, hmm well now we know how his internal organs were taken apart molecule by molecule.
This is the kinda thing that bothers many people, I don't really worry about it though.
