I wouldn't call it bad luck, more like karma sort of. Masturbation is against my religion, and call me superstitious or what have you, but ever time I do it, something bad happens within 1 or 2 days. It didn't happen when I didn't know it was against my religion, but ever since I found out, the punishments have been getting more severe. Started out with small stuff like getting a bad result at school, now the past 2 times I've done it, me and my mum had huge arguments over ridiculously stupid stuff, the previous one made her think of me as a selfish bastard and the current punishment for wanking has been 2 and a half months of grounding. It's still in progress.

As for those doing it, and bad test scores afterward, are you sure is not because you got so distracted studying at all/your brain was not able to study at all, due to less time?
I have never had casual discussions about this with my peers, and I don't get if such action is taken, why you would talk about it with another, out side of online because it seemed like too much private info is given away.
For those who are religious, I don't think it is healthy to even think about it, otherwise it is stuck in your conscious. Besides the point, if a certain someone does not like what is going on, they needed to make a patch on us, instead of being aggravated about it after-life, which instead they did not prevent before hand, and besides the fact, not everything was written in stone or is still properly revised, or communicated both ways still. I am not talking about anyone Earthbound here, if you are religious, you know what I mean, but I dare not say. This is why I don't believe it is a sin, if anything, it is better to contain it privately, then dare I say sex, or even worse unauthorized means, considered as incest. They should be thankful that does not happen when trying to safely empty the tank instead, besides the fact, if you don't really do anything wrong, whomever, should really be thankful they are worshiped, believed in and/or even loved at all. I hope I am not offending, it is just some instinct could of been patched, it has nothing to do with free will, kind of like when one really can't stop the bothering urge to smoke, but you know it is bad for your health.
