so apparently I'm going to France next week for the huge drifting event JDM Allstars.
It's nice to get a weeks notice, lol
While I was banned, I went to France with the team. We drove 21 hours from Denmark to the racetrack called "Anneu Du Rihn", which is in a city close to the south german border.
The trip was absolutely killing. We were travelling in 3 cars. I drove with a friend in a big mercedes camper van, the team owner and S15 driver drove in an Iveco Daily with the S15 in the back. The Iveco blew a hose three times, so we had to refit it, and when we were 10 minutes from our destination, the rear brake disc exploded and damaged alot of shit behind there.
None the less, we got a mechanic out and made a temporary fix, and we eventually got to the race track.
So, there we were. 8 Danes amongst a shitload of drift cars you've seen on the internet. Former world champion James Dean was there, and we actually talked some about the track. He said he was scared shitless.
The track was a point to point, very fast track. Entry speeds of 150 kmh/90 mph, and no lighting in the first two corners. They drove at night too.
Anyways, we were competeting against 52 other pro drivers, that looked really intimidating.
Jacob, the driver of the teams S15, did a pretty fucking good job, and he beat them one after one. And eventually, he was in the finale with the former world champion James Dean.
My heart was pounding like a fucking drum at that moment, and we heard the engines screaming behind the trees and were waiting anxiously to see them coming around the corner.
That's when Jacob drove nose first into the barrier and smashed the front of the S15.
So me and my friend ran out to the pit area to see if he and the car was okay, and to our surprise we find him standing, pounding and pulling on the car, ready to go to the other round.
So after standing there for 1-2 minutes, he gets out on the track again. Crazy bastard.
Unfortunately, he'd been out of the race for more than 5 minutes, so he could not continue.
But that means, he got a 2nd place overall. A fucking second place! We've never even been out of Denmark before, and we go down and beat 50 of europes toughest drivers.
It was such an adrenaline kick, and i have SO much video material.

but anyways, i think ill try to do a silvia front, for one it looks badass, and second, it would be a lot easier to mount some regular lights om a custom tube front rather than some bulky pop-ups with motors and shit

1. Yes, but never on a racetrack, as there aren't any within 300km of me. I usually go drifting in empty industrial areas or big parking lots.

James Deane is from 1991 and he's one of the worlds best drifters.
Went to a little event known as the East Coast Drift Championship at Summit Point in West Virginia. My cousin (Dan Savage) was there with his Sikky S13 and I got some pics/vids for you guys. I don't have the best camera so bear with the terrible video quality.

Dan got third place overall. Miro (the pink car) got second and Alan Brentzel (the guy Miro faces in the last vid) got first place. Lee Alexander (the blue ASD car) got fourth place. Miro was a douchebag, though. On the second tandem with Alan he slowed down to like 20 mph on that last ending drift while Alan was fully sideways. Almost crashed into the back of him.

I love it when people get sideways in such unassuming cars.
i personally cant justify doing in a road car, it just ruins the tyres, but i must say when my rx8 is due a new set of boots, i sometimes let her slip and slide round the roundabouts in the industrial estate where i work :)
