I have one problem with this trailer. Why was that rebel looking at the Millennium Falcon in awe? The Millennium Falcon is iconic to us because we saw it doing amazing things like destroying a Death Star, as far as a rebel soldier would be concerned it would just look like a bulky transport ship.
It was also one of the ships responsible for the destruction of the first Death Star at the time of Hoth.
Couple of people said they will wait for next year for lower price/all DLCs. I haven't played the beta but from a lot of the reactions it seemed like the game has the problem of being big but paper thin. It will stay popular for some time because it is a big SW game in years but otherwise I'd fear if it wouldn't be as popular next year.
It was mainly balancing issues and a lack of team communication that bugged me. Tiny chatbox in the corner that everyone ignored, 2-man squads only, horrible spawning locations (In front of enemy, behind enemy, always in that fucking tunnel with blinding outside light making it insanely hard to see out compared to seeing in (Which was much easier). Audio Visual was fantastic, gameplay is solid but could get a bit boring easily with only 2 maps / modes to play.

Hopefully they rebalance the AT AT mode. Rebels almost always lost.
Definitely won't buy on release. I'll wait a few weeks, maybe a month or two. The Force Awakens hype might hit me hard enough to buy this.
I really enjoyed the beta, so I'm confident in buying the full game. Also, those maps are fucking sexy.
Personally, I thought the beta gameplay was very stale. The sounds were cool, but the actual combat just wasn't very engaging.
Really cool how they added so many different races.
Hopefully they rebalance the AT AT mode. Rebels almost always lost.
Imo, the main problem with the rebel side is no actual strategy can be undertaken but if you're the Empire, you can just keep trying to get the AT-AT, rekt shit, then win.
Imo, the main problem with the rebel side is no actual strategy can be undertaken but if you're the Empire, you can just keep trying to get the AT-AT, rekt shit, then win.
The Rebels started to win more and more as the Beta dragged on and the Rebels realised they'd lose if they just kept playing TDM instead of capturing the points. If you get more than 1 Y-wing per base then you'll be crumbling AT-AT's like nobodies business and the Empire couldn't really stop you.
I'll admit, I laughed at Boba Fett's "Won't happen again"
Hopefully they rebalance the AT AT mode. Rebels almost always lost.
Only because no-one knew what to do. Near the end of the beta period the rebels were winning a lot more because players actually did what they needed to do.
Looks like another TitanFall.
Titanfall is great, though.
uh because the millennium falcon alongside han's antics became fucking legendary within the rebellion it helped blow up the -death star-
In the first assault on the Death Star the Millennium Falcon shot down a couple of tie fighters. That'd be like looking at a fucking X-Wing with awe.
In the first assault on the Death Star the Millennium Falcon shot down a couple of tie fighters. It's not just some plain old Corellian Frieghter.
In the first assault on the Death Star the Millennium Falcon shot down a couple of tie fighters. That'd be like looking at a fucking X-Wing with awe.
He also shot down Darth Vader, the best pilot in the empire's fleet.
Holding my breath, I played the beta and was actually made to eat my words, shit was pretty great, and ran really fucking good, sounded and looks absolutely incredible. That said, if they charge for heroes at all, instead of at least making those free for everyone, ill probably never get it. I dont care about anything else they try and sell me DLC wise. Its just, I really dont wanna see a DLC pack with "Buy now and get exclusive access to Chewbaca!" shit like that. I mean, a huge part of Battlefront is playing as the actual heroes and I wanna play them all, and its a shame you cant trust EA at all.
Yeah, those are Han Solo and Chewbacca's achievements, not the Falcon. By that logic they should fucking revere X-Wings because Luke used one to destroy the Death Star, but they don't because it's just a fucking fighter.
Titanfall is great, though.
for a solid 5 hours, then it became difficult to muster up the energy to keep playing
Is it that bad for a game to be arcadey, especially Star Wars of all games?
I think it is, it's significantly more arcadey than even Call of Duty. I just really don't like the shooting, I'll give it a chance though.
Mehhh... I am avoiding the hype this time around. Fool me once, EA...
looks like heroes are map based
Hope not, but dont know how you see that already, Han/Luke/Vader were shown in Hoth, when it was just luke/vader in the beta. Leia, Bobba fett, and Sheev are already confirmed as well. So I doubt it just map based since Hoth would be Luke+Han, but then only Vader. Maybe I just hope you are really wrong.
Is Nien Nunb a playable hero character? This is make or break for me.
I'm pretty sure I'm getting titanfall-isms where the beta was really fun, but the full game will wear thin astonishingly quickly because there's not really anything notable in the full game that you didn't get in the beta. I want to buy it, but I'm pretty sure I don't want to buy it full price, but I'm pretty sure it'll die out if I wait long enough for a price drop. It's a conundrum.
Looks like another TitanFall.
Because it is. DICE didn't want to do this game to begin with, and you can bet aftermarket support won't last more than six months.
Because it is. DICE didn't want to do this game to begin with, and you can bet aftermarket support won't last more than six months.
What are you talking about, they put everything into this game. It has more detail then the last 2 battlefield game. All they've gone on about is how they love Star Wars. Plus they have 4 DLC packs planned that is more then 6 months.
Yeah, those are Han Solo and Chewbacca's achievements, not the Falcon. By that logic they should fucking revere X-Wings because Luke used one to destroy the Death Star, but they don't because it's just a fucking fighter.
Them having the ship enabled the achievement, don't be silly. I'm sure if there were still X-Wings left around from the Battle of Yavin they would be almost mythic as well as their pilots. When a rebel looked at it, they're not seeing one hauler out of an entire line or an individual fighter out of the fleet- They're seeing individual ships that literally did the impossible. Ala the Falcon's status in the trailer and why the X-Wing sort of became a veritable icon of the Rebellion.
looks like heroes are map based
In the beta when you go to spawn as a hero there was a selection menu, so I'm going to assume some maps will have multiple heroes per side.
Nice "gameplay", what key do I push to gawk at the Millennium Falcon? :thatwasfunnyright:
