thats not the least thing to worry about too
you got nothing but wood to put your back on or the ground it self
so its your choice to get splinters or lay down in dirt.
Only dry wood splinters.
You can cover your wooden bed with leaves and other shit to create bedding.
where is this guy?
I'd like to know as well, he lives in a pretty amazing area.
A comment from one of his videos says he's in FNQ, Australia. These videos are awesome.

Yeah, leaves with bugs and spiders on them.
This guy probably gets all the amazonian pussy
In the same light as this stuff, this is a video I saw a while back. Quite a bit longer, but it's pretty amazing watching the crafting skills that have likely been handed down for thousands of years. Essentially, it is a guy building a birch bark canoe from scratch.

Unbelievable
I think it's one of these things you want to do at least once in your life
i wonder where he learned to do this stuff
This makes me want to play Minecraft.
Really impressive indeed, watched all of his videos. Really gives you the feeling to make you're own.

Agreed and like, i've known how to make basic shelters and such for a long time so i've always been confident enough to be able to survive but this has shown me really how to do it well.
where is this guy?
Far North Queensland, Australia. He's 100% self-taught, he only uses books and the internet, no formal training.
makes me want to rewatch Cast Away
I want to see THIS guy on things like Naked and Afraid.
Reminds me of Jamie Mentzel.

Whoa.
He made a twig hut and I thought that would be it but then he just kept building. He made an actual house with a bed and a built-in fireplace and a chimney. With mud and twigs.
Dude's a badass.
This guy's really cool, he even turned poisonous berries into bread.

OH boy this hick can arrange some twigs into a hut. It's 2015, people. I don't get how anyone's surprised by this when humans have been building this shit for literally thousands of years. If this guy could throw down a football stadium in a week he'd be something to write home about, but this is just sad.

How is being able to survive out in the wilderness sad?

Now i know who i'd never take as a survival buddy.

I don't see how someone who probably doesn't even know what a twig looks like can be so douchey about another person's outdoor skills.

Meanwhile, you'd probably die out in the wilderness. Also why are you describing him as a hick? Because he spends time outdoors?
Can I just say, I really hate when people describe huts and things as 'primitive', or our ancestors as 'stupid' or even just less smart than we are. Our ancestors were just fine on intelligence, just about different things. If you were to put me in the wilderness I'd probably be fucked, but here's this guy who knows how to farm, how all kinds of agriculture shit works, build a hut, make weapons, make boats. I meanwhile know how to play Fallout 2.

If you are into a more challenging and real type of survival experience, then you can always try out TerraFirmaCraft.
Now i know who i'd never take as a survival buddy.
Or you could take him a long, kill him and take his money.
This makes me want to play Minecraft.
This makes me not want to play Minecraft.
Why would anyone play these survivalist games while you can just go to your nearest forest and get yourself lost?
There's even fucking REAL STONES with which you can bash other people's heads!
this dude is fucking incredible, I could watch hours of this survival stuff

0/10 worst troll ever
Pretty neat how everything was reasonably near by, decent sized and craftable stones, running water, abundance of clay.
It's like start bias in Civ
Well that guy has balls to walk around in an Australian forest barefoot, i'd be way too afraid of all the nasty things that bite and potentially kill you :suicide:

Yeah but i wouldn't be surprised if he had a solid knowledge of the local flora and fauna.
This guy's videos are oddly satisfying to watch.
