Ever considered it was a joke? my mom would totally say that back when I was annoying to her friend and she still an awesome parent. (I'm not annoying anymore) maybe you should have minded your business.
Well maybe she Should've been paying attention to her kids and not a conversation she wasn't in and minded her OWN business.
Parents say that ALL the time, usually joking.
It makes YOU look like a dumbass if anything.
Yeah, she's really joking when she's not laughing and has a stern look on her face, in annoyance.
And the kid wasn't being annoying at all. He was well behaved, didn't ask for anything. I saw them walking around the store for awhile, and the kid just strolled along, not saying a word. If he asks one question and the mom replies like that, then something's wrong.
That was very rude of you.
Even if it's true doesn't mean you fucking tell somebody to close their legs.
You don't basically tell your kid you don't want them either.
oh parents
I clicked your avatar and was dissapointed.
I would do this it's okay
Hehehahahaha, fat people.
You do know what commas are for, right? Right, lets get this straight, and you didn't even use correct grammar to tell him he was using too many commas, which wasn't even too much, actually.
Comma splices.
What was her response to this? I want to see how much dumber she can get.
i'm serious about this, Identity.
When the fat friend opened her mouth you should of said "Your not getting any food so shut it."
-snip-
That was very rude of you.

Really? It's rude of me to comment on a parents remark about a child not being wanted, not to mention the fact she has two children?
It may be rude, but that kid doesn't have much of a voice. Sorry that I actually care about a child who isn't wanted by his own mother. Maybe if he's lucky he'll end up in foster care, along with the six million others in the U.S., because that's what she should've done, right? Thrown the responsibilty and the kid away to someone else?
Who cares if it's rude. If you were that child, you'd wish the same that someone was there to say something. To actually be wanted by someone, because the person who gave you life, and that you love, doesn't even want you to exist.
Yeah, I'm an asshole for speaking up. Why should I care about a child I may never meet? It was an "in the moment" comment, but you know what? I would never take it back. It's not a matter of being right or wrong. Question my actions all you want, but if you would've seen that childs face after that comment, you would've done the same exact thing.
Thanks for making me think of a person the size of a small car getting fucked.
Fuckin' a man.

*Fuckin' A, man!
Identity, I wish there were more people like you :frown:
Was she acting as serious, or was she just joking with her friend?
Was she acting as serious, or was she just joking with her friend?
Deadpan serious. No laughter, no jokes, no smiles.
So I'm grocery shopping last night, browsing amognst grilling spices, when I see this lady and her friend, who, quite literally, is the size of a small sedan, come strolling down the aisle. The younger female, is a bit slimmer, and has two kids, one who is about four, and another who is maybe a few months, to a year old. The older child is trying to get his mother's attention for a question he has. No big deal, could've a been a yes or no answer. What does the mother say to her friend? "This is why you never have children." That made me pissed. I looked at her and said "Why didn't you keep your legs closed then?" She shoots me a glare and tells me to "Mind my own fucking business." Now her fat friend tries to get in on the action. I tell her simply to shut her mouth, because this is a conversation beteween her friend and I. Basically, I tell her to be an actually fucking parent and acknowledge her kid, rather than wish he was gone.
Why make a thread about it? I don't really know. I guess it kind of irks me when when a parent says not to have kids in front of her four year old son. I can't imagine how he must feel after that, or if he really interpreted that at all.
Why didn't you just keep your mouth shut? If you don't want people being defensive don't attack them.
Honestly, it is people like you who get on my nerves. You think your opinion is so much greater than anything on the planet and you have to share it no matter what.

Well he never really said that he didn't want anyone to be defensive. When you do something like this, defense is inevitable. Plus, there's nothing wrong with expressing an opinion. I don't know where you came to the conclusion that he thinks he has the best opinion. It's not like he's saying "omg ur all wrogn moms r all stopid", he's actually giving some valid and strong arguments.
Which I happen to agree with
Thank you for doing that. I don't know if I would've said it if given the chance, but I'm happy that there are people who will.
Should've yelled "A WILD SNORLAX APPEARS!"
Yeah because she would fucking understand that. Go back to /b/
But I think you handled the situation well. Sometimes people need to be yelled at to understand what is going on.

I didn't mind her being defensive. I knew that was going to happen anyway. And my opinion was greater? I never said anything about it being the best one in the world.
And people who speak up get on your nerves?
Identity is officially coolest frood on earth.

now just watch the bad spellings roll in by all the uncultured tards who have never read [you know what]
Good on you, someone needs to give idiots like these a good smack once in awhile.

You shoulda yelled, "BOOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMEEEEEEEERRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" and started taking pot shots at her rapidly with an auto shotgun.
I would actually have confronted her about her parenting skills, rather than calling her names or the like. Question her ability as a mother and if she didn't want the child why not just put it up for adoption?

That was a horrible execution.

I didn't call her any names, though I sure felt like it. As for the adoption, not sure why she didn't do that.
Meh, parents that are assholes to their kids like that annoy the fuck out of me, but what you said was stupid and not worth it
if you're gonna butt in, make the comment something worth saying
OP didn't actually say anything.
