I'm pretty sure them cutting out pools and toddlers is the result of people not buying the expansions for Sims 3. Now they're probably putting base game features in the expansions for Sims 4, hoping that more people will be compelled to buy them.
I didn't watch the whole video (sorry), but do they address why they removed pools?

No.
looks like shit, plays like shit, expensive as shit
0/10, i'll stick with sims 3.
Wow it's restricted to lots again, no open-world? That is such a step down.
Think it's for performance reasons and to reduce loading times. Sims 3 always took decades to load, so this was probably their solution to fixing it.
I think what irks me most about the UI is how the decided "Eh, UCP? Let's just place the entire fucking sim there, seems like a good idea."
TS1-TS2 had the best UI, imo with the UCP forming a circular design. TS3 was alright but I just didn't care for the squares which is seriously petty.
Did they massively simplify the moodlet system as well? It looks like it's just + and -, rather than +# and -#. Wouldn't that mean a Sim would be as emotionally affected by marriage as they are from brushing their teeth?
Everything in your post is retarded.
It looks miles better than Sims 3, especially the Sims themselves, the "realistic" visuals they went for in Sims 3 didn't fit at all, also all the Sims had big puffy baby faces with huge eyes which looked awkward as shit.
How do you know how it plays? Do you have access to the game? If the answer is no, stop crying.
How is it expensive? It's $60 like literally every other video game released these days, if you're talking about expansions/stuff-packs then you're dumb because we've been dealing with this since Sims 1 & 2.
their faces look exactly the same, with the goofy exaggerated animations and all
and i also watched what's called a "gameplay video", not sure if you heard of such a thing
and $60 dollar game plus $60 dollar expansions before it's even out.

Doesn't that apply to every game though? I mean if they would probably optimize and fix the game including the expansion packs they probably wouldn't have that issue at all. I'm a huge fan of the Sims I'm really am but something literally tells me the only redeeming factor of this one will only be sim creator and that's it.
I honestly hope I'm wrong too. Because I really want a great game to be published by EA, I guess that's not gonna happen.

I'll take the reduced loading times, fine.
I just hope to god they fixed the massive bugs TS3 had and dont leave it to the modders to clean up after them. Seriously, TS4 is giving you a clean slate to work with, dont fuck it up.
No they don't, you need glasses dude.
Gameplay demo =/= knowing how the game plays overall, you can't say it plays like shit off a single video, regardless: from what I saw in that video it seems more responsive than the Sims 3, it was all scripted though and it was an earlier build so it's hard to judge.
$60 expansions? Please stop pulling shit out of your ass, they haven't even announced pricing, yet alone any expansions.
Uh, 60$ premium thing.
Maybe you should pay more attention.
it's so much fun
it's so much fun
it's so much fun
it's so much fun

$60 for the base game
$50 for the -one time premium- that gets you all the DLC apparently
There were collectables and resources.
And being able to go from your home to you next door neighbor's house without a bullshit loading screen is great.
There's no good reason to change away from the open world.
The game also ran like ass.
[editline]22nd July 2014[/editline]
Why do the textures look worse than Sims 3?
Because people bitched about how it lost the charm of the Sims 2 look and now that they've got that look back it's ugly.
You can't please some people.
The game also ran like ass.
So instead of optimizing it, you want to get rid of it?
That's really dumb.
The Sims 4 DLC : Extreme Hardened Black Dragon Exclusive Pre Access Pools And Toddlers Edition , Only 99.99$ Becouse we are a horrible game company and we should have stayed dead in 2004 when we were starting to make bad games

Ha ah because joking about how EA makes people pay for $60 dlc is always so funny nowadays because they've been doing it for years now.
That shit is getting old and annoying.
