Only thing I can relate to in the OP is thinking I'd run faster with new shoes. My parents are an odd couple, rather than playing Mario and Zelda when I was a kid (Even if I do play Zelda now) I'd be playing my Dad's Quake and listening to my Mom's Rob Zombie when I was five.
dude thats so cool i smoked weed with my mom when i was like 10 and she would let me borrow her guns to play with kids haha just kidding man you had shitty parents
Yes. You. Your childhood. Think back. All those little things that you think is silly now. Remember your secret box? You know what I mean. That one box you had, full of tiny little toys and such that you cherished so much. Full of little misspelled "keep outs", you cherished this box so dearly. You loved this box more than anything else. Might've held your favorite plaything, your journal (or diary if your a lady :q:), or hell, anything. It was your box. Your personal space. Or back when you liked to run everywhere. Remember back when you thought shoes made you run faster? Fun huh? Running as fast as you could, thinking it was because of your brand new sneakers. One of the funnest, for me at least, was back in long car rides. Your favorite little cartoon or game hero, running alongside the car. Oh the fun it would be, watching it jump over obstacles coming in your path. Just watching them do impossible feats of acrobatics alongside your car, all for your entertainment. Your childhood was great, facepunch. Secret boxes, backyard adventures, making your toys go on impossible adventures... Don't forget what made you so happy as a kid. Rate Heart if you did anything similar, or Box if you just had the box.
A lot of people say OP doesn't describe their childhood, but am I the only one who did all of these things? Literally all of them? Also, one of my favorites in the car was picking a smudge on the windshield and making it dodge things outside. Moving my head made the smudge move relative to the things outside, so I would play games like that.
I don't think I ever saw things running alongside the car as a kid.. I actually don't think I ever saw imaginary things period, I think you should go to a doctor OP.
UPDATE: Ever watch the rain drops on the window slide down it, than pretend they were racing? :keke:
UPDATE: Ever watch the rain drops on the window slide down it, than pretend they were racing? :keke:
Ya. Or watch them gradually get bigger as they consume the smaller droplets.
I spent most/all of my summer down at my grandma's house, watching Ed, Edd, and Eddy and playing Playstation 1/2 Games all day. It was so much simpler back then. :ohdear:
Whatever happened to childrens games that consisted of math and logic, rather then flashing lights and rapidly changing colors?
UPDATE: Ever watch the rain drops on the window slide down it, than pretend they were racing? :keke:
I actually still do that. :v:
On any given day when I wasn't in school I would wake up, ride my bike with my friends for a few hours then we would get our toy guns and play war then we would ride bikes again or go swimming in the South river if it was summer. Then at night I would go home and play Sega Genesis and watch Nickolodeon when it used to have good shows like Ka-Blam, Rockos Modern Life, Ren and stimpy, Hey Arnold, Doug, and Ah Real Monsters. My childhood was pretty badass.
nuff said.
When I saw that I went OH MY GOD and hundreds of childhood memories went rushing through my head. I haven't seen that ever since I was in kindergarden, you deserve a cookie.
anyone remember this?
Oh god i do. My primary school (UK here) used to have them loaded onto some of the computers everyone would scramble for the ones that had them on it like it was the most important thing in the world. Ah good times...
anyone remember this?
Oh my god holy fucking shit, I completely forgot about that game. I loved it so much but I only played it like twice at a friend's house when I was 5. Thank you so much for posting this.
anyone remember this?
Oh Christ... I can just barely, barely remember that. Man that's been a while.
I remember doing the whole cartoon/videogame jumping thing on car rides, and one time I told my sister to do the same thing. We would have battles in the car.
Childhood was fun until I went to school... then I became bitter and vengeful :geno:
Childhood is shit, and its still shit. We moved in out of an nice, good life to move out to an fucking piece of shit. My dad kicked me out of my house, grabbed my mom and strngled her, and now i stay with my grandma and my cousins. Life sucks.
Some people had fucked childhoods. Like that guy who sucked his friends dick and other gay shit.
This was my childhood.
My Uncle Pete touched me when i was a child... He told me it was okay, and it meant he loves me a lot.... He said it was "our little secret"...
one of the best shows everrrrr! (at least back in the day)
I had a awesome childhood. My dad was a engineer for SETI who always wanted to be an astrophysicist, but he never could pay for college. Before we moved from San Jose, he was teaching general physics at the community college at night. My dad was and still is kick ass. My mom is cool too, she's a cook (not a chef, never went to cooking school). As a result, she makes great food. Also, my dad's girlfriend (parents got divorced) is a pastry chef, and has MS, so she gets stoned for her appetite, and then spends like 6 hours making an insane chocolate confection. <3
Oh my fucking god, I remember that! I did it all the time. I didn't know other people did that.
Same deal here. Got me interested in animation.
Pokemon cards, Nerf Guns, Summer Camps, Rugrats, Hotwheels, KNex Oh the good days.
