Just finished watching the new episode. Wasn't a bad one, IMO, but it wasn't a good one, either. Had it's moments, I guess, but you can't expect every episode to be at least close to the best episode ever.
More Andy & Erin stuff that will automatically make you smile, and it kind of bothered me that the episode was supposedly set to this day, and it's tag was the next day.
Someone please move this thread to "Film and Television".
New Leads - 5.2 / 10.0
- Decent episode overall.
- Interesting use of green screen.
- References to previous episodes from previous seasons either good or bad.
I would write a review but I don't feel like it. Would someone else like to do this? Or others.
I wouldn't necessarily only give it a 5.2... it was a good and funny episode.
Come to think of it... I really wouldn't give any episode as low as a 5.2.
If i were to score this episode... i would give it an 8. It was funny, fun to watch, and
it had good lead ups for episodes to come. Such as Andy and Erin kissing.
Overall it was a good episode.
Also if you have not seen this episode... http://www.hulu.com/watch/135124/the-office-new-leads here you go.
I was glad they finally acknowledged the fact that Michael and Dwight's relationship has changed so much over the past season, it was a great scene.

Yeah, I guess. Bad mood = badly-thought ratings so I'll also give it a 8. Anyone else think it felt like a Season 2 episode?
@stepat: yeah that was cool too.
You should add Creed's blog to the link section. :v:
Also, fuck yeah, can't wait for this, just begun watching this a few weeks ago and it's just perfect.
Funny, because The Office is possibly the least funny comedy ever!
Its an awesome TV show indeed :) I dont know what season im on but considering its Comedy Central EU its probably one off the first one.
If anyone could inform me what season it is. Its when Jim transfers from Scranton to Stanford because he said that he loved Pam but she didnt say to him. Id really like to download the season.
I'll just leave this here...

I don't know. It's not so much of a comedy anymore. They are slowly turning it into a drama. I'm watching Season Three right now and it is WAY funnier than the new stuff.
Does anybody else think the show is incredibly unfunny now?
yup the show has changed and it's not as funny anymore
i still like it enough to watch it
Seasons 2-3 were the peak of the show, every single episode on there is insanely hilarious. Now, its more of a okay-funny show, I don't find myself cracking up now...I just sort of smile or girlishly giggle a little bit at the jokes. Part of it has to do with you getting used to the way the awkwardness of the office is shown through comedy...the more you experience it, the less funny it gets.
I feel like they're focusing more on Michael Scott's antics rather than the characters themselves (which is where the real funny is at).
Pretty much. But sometimes you have to understand that that's the reality of it, and it only makes it real. I'm saying this because some say that Season 5 was depressing, and it was, and it was gonna happen sooner or later. So I'd say we can all agree that it still is a good show, regardless of it not being as funny.
I'm sad that the episodes aren't as funny anymore. My favorite is still the fire drill episode where Stanley has the heart attack.
I find The Office to be incredibly boring and unfunny 98% of the time.
kind of like everything else for you huh
It's not as good as it used to be but I still love this show
Dwight: I NEED MORE MEGADESK!
I'll never get bored of watching Andy's flip the fuck out when they hide his cellphone as a prank.
"That was a over-reaction."
The office swallows cold hard cock, I hate that show.
So what did you guys think about the Happy Hour episode? I loved it. 9/10 for me.
I'm a little surprised by what I read on here. I loved the office but I stopped watching after the third season or so. I've been meaning to start again but everyone I heard from said it had become awful and it wasn't worth watching anymore... I guess I'll start it again after all, thanks facepunch (I needed an excuse to watch more tv I guess).

You're in the wrong thread then, :frog:.
We don't care about your opinion.
Bump for new episode.
US is an out and out comedy.
UK holds the cringeworthy realsim.
Both quite different really. I love how the format has translated all round the world.
I stopped watching it, partly due to my suspicion that they will recycle the Jim and Pam romance with Andy and whatever her name is...
:/
I think the latest episode was pretty good.
