None of my 90 friends on it type like arseholes, they're actually pretty sensible on it. The 90 people on it BTW is a mixture of people from school, college, uni, work, family.
Also to the people who blindly bash it, if you're so concerned about the privacy, don't put anything up you don't want to. And if you don't like people, nothing's stopping you from defriending them, goddamn, not that you had to add them in the first place, stop thinking it's a place where you have to conform to typn lyk dis bbxXx
Pretty much summed up why I left Facebook. People just post stupid, worthless, vague, emo status updates to alert everyone that they're (ALWAYS) depressed about something, and then when you go to ask what's wrong, "I CAN'T TALK ABOUT IT, IT'S TOO PERSONAL". WOW, why did you even post it to a PUBLIC site, then??? Thanks for your worthless whining!

It was useful for managing party invites and getting some news from companies that don't have a stand-alone blog. That was it.

My school must be full of mainly cool people, because I have very few of these problems on Facebook. Most people I know just use it to share funny articles/videos or to inform people of news that relates to them. And making jokes I suppose.

Yeah I do. Atleast back then it was a little more minimalist. Now its more shit crammed into the same space with little regard for tidiness of minimalism. The Facebook mobile app is less of an eyesore.
