Neither of those forces would have been splitting up like that. That doesn't really show either of the force's actual tactics at all.
They don't bother with all that "tactics" crap.
They insert all the "numbers" into a "special program" which calculates over 1000 possible battle scenarios to determine who wins.
Then they make a fight which displays the combatants using all of their tools no matter how stupid, and then have the statistical winner win by some really stupid twist.
Their re-enactments are pretty cheesy.
This comparison is so fucking retarded I don't even know where to begin.
First of all, what SWAT? SWAT isn't a single entity, almost every major city in America has there own Police tactical unit. Secondly, why the fuck are they comparing a police unit to a counter-terrorism unit? The tasking is completely different.
And yes, there are certain skillsets that are identical, however, GSG9 operatives get far more training/drill time than SWAT officers do. SWAT officers are still primarily police officers and have other duties to carry out, they can't train 24/7 (nor do most cities have the funding neccessary for long training hours).
FUCK. Why am I even bothering to break this down? Deadliest Warrior has and always will be retarded on so many levels.
I don't like a lot of the answers this show gives. EVERYONE knows that if a Ninja fought a Spartan, (Spoiler!) [sp]the ninja would win. Why? Because he's a ninja.[/sp] :colbert:

Because the Ninja has a Samarai sword, Kawaii ^-^
They should have had 4 real GSG9 guys and 4 real SWAT guys actually battle with paintball guns in the same environment.

They still wouldn't get the same results, I think it's fucking stupid that they only use, One guy for each weapon, Honestly, They should try several people. All of the people are not the same, Skills are different so on and so forth.
GSG kill chickens for training?
:colbert:
Fuck SWAT
its cool to watch if youre just bored
I have always tried to like this show, I really have. Some of the match ups WOULD be cool to see, but just how they execute this is just.shit.
I was watching the Spetsaz against an elite american force, can't remember who. they where testing grenades. it was the RDG against a M67. how they did it was so weird. they threw the RDG in a washer, and the M67 was against a dummy I think. oh and their answer was bigger is better hurf durf.
As everyone else said, GSG9 would probably win in real life. As they are a counter-terrorist force, and probably train 24/7.
I have tried to watch this series before, and it always felt dumb.
I just watch it because the battle scenes are fun and I like to see them cut up pigs and gel with neat weapons.
I just block out all seriousness factor.
SWAT is hardly an Elite Special Force... It's regular police officers with additional training
haha I remember seeing this on You Have Been Watching
[editline]10:59AM[/editline]
I saw the IRA fight the Taliban in a car park
[editline]11:00AM[/editline]
Pretty stupid that the IRA won though. If our armies are having trouble fighting the Taliban than the IRA don't stand a chance.
The Last IRA guy was fucking Solid Snake in disguise.
Yes but it's supposed to be an accurate fight
still not making even matches.

Same here. I just like to watch the final battle and the weapon demonstrations. The seriousness factor is retarded because to accurately test everything, they exact same tests would have to be given to both sides.
I hate when i'm watching this show sometimes, when i kinda cheer for the other team and then they lose. Pisses me off.
This is the only episode I watched of this show, and probably the last one considering how stupid their tests and conclusions are.
GSG9 would own SWAT any day.
And these "computer simulations" are complete bullshit, I was expecting to see real numbers and variables, instead I'm treated with a B movie of two forces engaged in gun fights using no tactics what so ever.
If the simulation has to be run a thousand times with even a slight difference each time, you're using random variables in which case it's not even a proper simulation.
I bet the SWAT will win because this is a stupid american show.
I bet the SWAT will win because this is a stupid american show.
You are correct.
ALSO WHAT THE FUCK at the guy coming out of the car. The fuck was that film supposed to prove?
just like in DOUBLYA DOUBLEYA TWO EY BOYS?
The narrator sounds like that eyepatch guy from 300
Oh wow, that was pretty retarded. Heck the whole idea is retarded.
The whole idea is flawed by itself, and then they execute it badly.
The narrator sounds like that eyepatch guy from 300
It is him, as far as I know.
I bet the SWAT will win because this is a stupid american show.
I thought the exact same thing before watching the videos except for the "stupid" part (I was leaving that judgement for later).
After having seen it, I see I was right and it was stupid (no, not because it's American, in case someone was going to whine at me).
I bet the SWAT will win because this is a stupid american show.
Because the spetznaz didn't win last season.
Regardless, this show is bull shit, they don't really do the same tests for each side, they don't run them multiple times to average it, and they don't choose even matches.
Keep in mind that this is on SPIKE, so you have to take all seriousness and cast it aside.
