I hear that a lot of couples, regardless of sex, have one 'masculine' figure and one 'feminine' figure. But it may be bullshit, I don't know.
Thats pretty awesome actually...
Except when she took me on a camping and fishing trip to Wales for a week, and it rained through out.

He's just as nervous as you are, Spartan. Take your oppurtunity to possibly form a bond with the man. Who knows... Maybe he can teach you something from his bloodline which will amaze you.
My friend has two moms and he met his biological dad, he thought he was pretty nice. OP, I think you should do the same and get over your fear and just talk to him. There's really no harm in it.
You do make a point, but in a way I feel like I owe him this. I know that sounds weird, but he did help bring me here.
You don't owe him anything. He did everything he did out of free will and knowing he'd never see you.
I'm kind of curious how it is to be raised by two females. I guess "the talk" would be kind of weird since there's no father figure. Very interesting! Also, ofcourse you should go see your dad, you'll regret it after if you don't.
I guess "the talk" would be kind of weird since there's no father figure.
That's what the Internet is for.
That's what the Internet is for.
So you're pretty much raised by your parents and the internet. Pretty much the same as any other person on Facepunch. :v:
I hear that a lot of couples, regardless of sex, have one 'masculine' figure and one 'feminine' figure. But it may be bullshit, I don't know.
It's generally true. Though you can also get ones with two feminine figures (Even if they're both male)
So we've also got Nick Clegg, and Ed Miliband viewing. Great.

I'd do it even if it could turn out awkward. Could be he's the nicest bald gay ever! And that's your bio dad!
I can understand OPs situation a bit. I know my father, but I have been living alone with my Mom since I was 2 or 4 or so. He thinks my mother used a sperm donor too. Never got used to a father figure, and he will never know he is my real father.
I wish I knew how my real dad is like. Just like you, I my dad was a donor. The difference is that I'm a "test tube baby". There aren't many people my age (almost 18) who'r like me. Nowadays while in vitro fertilization is quite common, there's also a law that gives me a right to know who my dad is when I'm 18. The problem is that no information hasn't been saved at that time I was born. At least my sister who's 3 years older than me, shares the same father with me.

I was going to post the Facepunch standard "fuck him in the ass" until I saw he was gay. Sorry.

Also, ofcourse you should go see your dad, you'll regret it after if you don't.
Am I the only one not really having gotten "the talk". I think I just asked my parents when I was a kid and they explained. It's not a big deal.
I think you should give the guy a chance since he helped your parents make a family. Most of the time it's the real farther wants nothing to do with the child. I can't really see what could go wrong. It's understandable why he didn't have much to do with you as a child. It sounds weird but I think it would be better to see him as a friend rather than a farther. But that's up to you.
In a situation like this I don't think the child 'owes' anything to the donor. That arrangement was made prior to your birth(obviously) so it's not really binding on you. However, I think in most cases having MORE family in your life beats having less. Once again, obviously abusive situations are not better, in that case you'd be better off without that person. Assuming this would be a friendly meeting I say go for it. You have nothing to lose. The only real reason not to would be if you honestly feel it would upset your life in some way, to even meet with him.
I like how almost all of his posts are getting colourful rainbows. How pretty! And by all of them, I mean like 3. On topic: You should meet him, maybe he's a coolguy and has a chill day with you. Always give things a chance.
I think when one's rights are not recognized by one's government, the illegal route to getting what one wants is perfectly acceptable.
It's legal to do so in the UK.
So do you think that you're ever going to try to get in contact with your father? Would you like to?
I don't know how could I, because at that time it was a rule that all important information had to be trashed to protect the donors identity. I don't know if I wan't to meet him or not, and I don't know if he wants to meet me. But I'd like to know how he's like, what he does for living ect.
serious question: you ever get any ridicule for having gay parents?
Serious question OP, not meant to offend: How is it to be raised by two lesbians? is it hot?
just meet him and have a chat. he's still your 'dad'. how bad could it be?
serious question: you ever get any ridicule for having gay parents?
I try to keep under wraps, but yeah I've bullied for it. No problem now though. [editline]28th April 2011[/editline]
Serious question OP, not meant to offend: How is it to be raised by two lesbians? is it hot?
Yeah, because everyone is turned on by their Mums.
How old are you OP? I mean like, how long have you lived without knowing your father?
Yeah, because everyone is turned on by their Mums.
you'd be surprised, the internet is a weird place
