Justins voice is very unique and is a great pop music writer singer anyone who hasn't heard him think of a young kelly clarkson singing about girlfriends to pre programed garage band beats.

I'm not trying to troll or anything, or express dislike of the topic necessarily, just my opinion of this kid. I personally don't like his music (probably 'cause i don't enjoy pop much, and I like most normal 18+ year old males don't like these kid pop sensations), and yes his voice does sound a little too high for his age. The whole thing with him does feel like all those other young stars, its the same thing. He does have a pretty good voice, probably, i think (at least the processed recordings make it sound like he does).

I'm just gonna say he probably does have a decent voice though. He's from the same little city as me(some of you may have seen a play here at one point, i.e. Stratford, ON), and he did happen to win a talent contest for the area(before anyone knew who he was, when he was singing out side of the fricken Avon Theatre), so he's at least that good. And i guess he sung alright in his videos. I just don't understand the super obsession with him though. He was a pretty normal kid when he attended my school, he skateboarded (something i like), and played hockey (and was/maybe is still a fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, which embarrassingly I must say I am also) - mainly he seemed cool enough - and didn't really start singing 'till fairly recently. He wasn't insanely popular, and didn't have 13 year old girls going crazy over him, it wasn't until he got famous.

I guess some people like how he sings (mainly young girls, for obvious reasons, and certain lovers of pop that don't care how produced, or fake something may be.)

So needless to say I don't really know how i feel about him. I would like to support a local star, its cool that he's from here, but i just don't think i can. I don't support other "stars" like him(or most pop sensations), and won't just because his from my city, i mean i'm not gonna support all the horrible people that live in every city including mine, just cause they are here. Not that i think he's a horrible person, just I get annoyed about how much people obsess about him, and want to know him, and be his girlfriend(especially the millions of 13 year old girls that think this random person intimately cares about them in a very persional way) , etc... when its not that interesting, he's a normal kid. Most people I know here absolutely hate him, in every way, shape, and form. And I don't think most of the young teenagers even care here (unless they don't know his history and where he is from) as they probably knew him at one point, other than for the fact that its interesting that he is so famous, and from our city.

So I'm maybe getting word that he was not exactly the coolest or nicest kid before he was famous, and I'm sure that probably hasn't changed (as fame doesn't usually help that). And I believe it because I know half of the people saying the statements. (some of them are pretty harsh, i must warn).

Also just realized that my cousin beat the crap out of him at school, which kind of makes me proud(that sounds pretty bad, i know). Now I think I may know why he was suspended for so long a couple years back.
