It's a small magnetic lens you can attach to cheap digital cameras, or even cell phone. It makes cameras with a really thin angle, to see wider. [editline]17th April 2011[/editline] They have another called a Jelly Lens, it's the same thing but it's made of plastic. Makes the image a bit blurry, but its like $2.
Bump time with some fresh content: Ordered this stereo Bluetooth A2DP receiver to dick around with and to help me ditch those pesky mini-jack cables going everywhere. It works fine, although to get any useful wireless range from it, you'll have to crack it open and solder a thin piece of insulated steel wire to the antenna trace on the pcb. Though said PCB trace is easily accessible with no components nearby, so that's easily done, and after that, drill a small hole in the case so you can route the antenna outside it. Second problem is that it might not have the grunt to drive some headphones or earplugs if that's what you desire, but any decent headphone amplifier should do the trick. Third problem is powering it, since it doesn't sport a built in battery, and receives the 5 volt needed from its USB plug, BUT DX also have a few ways to solve that problem: battery "power bank" for USB devices Itty bitty boost converter for powering it off 3 Alkaline or 4 Ni-Mh batteries OR a single li-ion/li-poly cell All-round adjustable step-down converter (remember to tune it in to 5volt output) if you want to power it from a (battery) source that's above 5 volt OR a more expensive but also more beefy step-down converter with fixed 5v output (can even "fast charge" tablets if the power source can deliver enough juice) For car or stationary home use, just nick a decent smartphone power adapter, then you're set. Also when I had it cracked open, I noticed that the traces from the USB DATA lines went to a MCU of some sort, so I suppose that with some special utility that it can be reprogrammed/tweaked.
