hehehe u hate it cuz its popular >:)
Wrong simley dude, ":^)" is the oficial shitposting smiley
Not really, too many people are vocally hating the game rather than just disliking the game. I mean, if you don't like it, all the props to you, say you don't like it and why - but a lot of people seem to hate it as if it were the abonimation of gaming history ever just because it's popular and maybe not the deepest game ever.
It'd be a neat rule if there was a certain amount of effort required when discussing a game's quality. Maybe for General Games Discussion at least.

They basically just "augmented" the engine so they can fuck around with it more. Why is this funny? Why is this a big deal? There's no need for them to create a new engine when they have one that works fine that they can just add onto. It's fucking stupid to create a new engine just so people who cry about lack of tessellated leaves on the floors of the multiplayer maps will be satisfied. [editline]23rd May 2013[/editline]
Source has actually been updated, IW hasn't updated shit. And it's not like CoD has a good narrative or interesting gameplay.
wee woo wee woo, rabid fanboyism alarm. you're pretty delusional if you say that source has been updated, whilst IW's engine hasn't. play MW1, then play BO2. the technical jump there is as big as, if not moreso, than the jump from 2004 source to portal 2 source.
Heh, any CoD related thread is fantastic. people spewing out "IT"S NOT FUN GUYS STOP HAVING FUN WITH IT" "ITS BAD YOU CANT ENJOY THIS THING THAT I DONT LIKE STOP THAT" Hate everyone that doesn't play obscure indie games, that'll show them! :v: People act like CoD fans are indoctrinated or something and don't seem to realize the people just like a different kind of game than them, and for some reason they just can't accept it. I'm not a big fan of CoD but why does it matter to me at all if the vast majority of gamers enjoy it?
No one said you can't like it, people are saying that the game isn't as amazing as a lot of people say it is. Stop over-exaggerating.
Source has actually been updated, IW hasn't updated shit.
the last major thing to happen to source was global lighting that took 4-5 engine versions to happen
Holy shit, people still pull the fanboyism card to try and win arguments.
except you said that the engine hadn't changed at ALL which is literally unture.
Holy shit, people still pull the fanboyism card to try and win arguments. Edit: Autocorrect, you whore.
Well when you say "well CoD has a shit story and gameplay unlike Valve games >:)", you're pretty much a fanboy
also this bit lead me to say you're a fanboy
And it's not like CoD has a good narrative or interesting gameplay.
[editline]23rd May 2013[/editline] fucking shit god damnit ericson stop stealing my comebacks
Well when you say "well CoD has a shit story and gameplay unlike Valve games >:)", you're pretty much a fanboy
Show me where I said the story and gameplay were shit, I said the narrative is not very good and the gameplay isn't interesting. I don't think you should be calling anyone fanboy if that sets you off.

And also, that didn't really set me off? I don't see what you're getting at
[editline]23rd May 2013[/editline] fucking shit god damnit ericson stop stealing my comebacks
hue
yeah, but you said which is factually wrong / incorrect / not right / misinformed
I admit to having been misinformed, I don't think that calls for people crying out for me being a fanboy for anything however. Fuck, the fact I don't know much about source is probably a sign I am not a big fan of it.
Oh, nice, does the process still say MW2.exe, too?
Oh, nice, does the process still say MW2.exe, too?
And TF2 uses hl2.exe, what's your point?
I admit to having been misinformed, I don't think that calls for people crying out for me being a fanboy for anything however. Fuck, the fact I don't know much about source is probably a sign I am not a big fan of it.
I wasn't trying to single you out specifically, a lot of people genuinely believe that (see: first page) also the fact that they think working on top of an older engine somehow discredits their work (newsflash everyone does it)
And TF2 uses hl2.exe, what's your point?
HL2 hasn't been sold to us 5 times, that's what
I wasn't trying to single you out specifically, but dang a lot of people genuinely believe that (see: first page) also the fact that they think working on top of an older engine somehow discredits their work (newsflash everyone does it)
They refer to the fact that the $60 dollar price tag isn't worth paying for a game that follows the same formula every year. It's the same reason why I ditch Madden.

It's the same reason why I ditch Madden.
that's not the engine's fault (and apparently people who enjoy call of duty games do exist, but w/e - i'm not going to say my tastes are somehow superior or more informed than theirs) and no, quite a lot of people are directly discrediting the engine
They refer to the fact that the $60 dollar price tag isn't worth paying for a game that follows the same formula every year.
Sequels play like the games that preceeded them, what a shock.
Sequels play like the games that proceeded them, what a shock.
It's one thing for them to be alike and another entirely for them to be interchangable.
OK but he specifically said "formula". The CoD formula has been basically unchanged since UO with the only major additions being killstreaks and create-a-class. It's always been close quarters arcade shooting.
It's one thing for them to be alike and another entirely for them to be interchangable.
There's been changes. You can't compare Black Ops 2 with say, COD4.
Waiting for EA to jump on this with both feet. LOOK THEY LIED SEE WE ARE BETTER TOLD YOU, LIARS.
I expected they would pull the same stuff bethesda did with Skyrim.
Call of Duty has always been behind the graphical curve, this is nothing new.
This doesn't suprise anyone The hilarious thing is that somehow MS thought it would be a great idea to show off a CoD game, one that is just running STILL on the same engine, as their pen-ultimate "this is what is possible on the new xbox" presentation of what the next generation looks like It's like the ultimate "Wow, really?" compared to the stuff PS4 showed.
so they pulled a bethseda
