I think I am the only one who doesn't like the boxart at all
Nope, it sucks, especially because its supposed to have a Singleplayer part.
I buy boxed games since my connection is too horrible to download them.

Still don't give a fuck about the art though.

This is nice:

Looks too grundge, which doesn't fit the art style of the game at all.
Also doesn't convey portals at all either. A second orange guy going into a square at the bottom or something (and "coming out" as the blue guy in the logo at top) would do a fine job of that I feel.
Looks neat though.
The point is, everyone loves VALVe for beeing "Community Near and Communicative", but in real, thats just what it seems like, they dont communicate or discuss with us, they just steal ideas that are posted and hire modders which gives them a look of beeing community near because these people were the community. But theres no crediting for ideas from the community, theres not even a reply, they take it, use it, change it and dont care who brought it up.
You seem surprised that Valve is a company that needs and intents to make money. Just be happy to see your idea(s) put to use.
I hope they make it reasonably priced like Portal was and not 70 dollars.

Then again Portal was a much smaller game, this is twice the size in just the single player, and then the co-op is just as long! I'd be okay with 60 or 70 dollars for a game that large.

actually I would refuse to buy it if it was that much

Then you'd just have to wait for the inevitable steam sale 1-2 years down the line.
If people don't like the box art valve will change it.
That's why i love valve <3
What about making a box with a special shape, like Viva Pinata's ?
Portal 2 might end up costing £60, but it will probably end up being more fun than the typical, predictable "lol US & Russia/China/whatever in a war" shit that seems to come out daily now. People buy those, and they cost like £30-£40. Seems like a fair deal to me that Portal ends up as £50-£60.
It is NOT completly optional. I havent got a single hat, but hey thats ok. But I still havent got a single hat from the Polycount pack or after it, showing the fact that you cant work for it but its completly random. I dont want to have to roll a dice to maybe get a good weapon layout and be able to roll the dice somewhen and then amybe start playing the game for real.
it is completely optional
i havent had the slightest urge to buy anything from the mann co store since release
Update, the new features shown in the video are exclusive to a separate version of the game specifically for the, now renamed, Razer Hydra.
