• Being alone

I am by myself most of the time. I'm completely fine home by myself for a week. My family is getting worried though because I'm apparently spending too much time by myself. I think that's probably true.

So I'm usually stuck at home, being portrayed as a no-life loser.
I don't love to be alone but everyone happens to be alone sometimes, I usually just make the best of it.
I prefer being alone as a preference. I don't like socialising, and I feel generally awkward around any amount of people. You could call me a loser with no life, but I do believe I have a life. I just want to spend that life by myself. v:v:v I also get migraines fairly easily, so staying by myself helps reduce the chance of getting one.
It's Pretty much an Art. Pretty fucking fun to lay on a bed listening to Owl City. DON'T JUDGE OWL CITY IS SOFT. Only reason I listen to it. [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] Also, I'm not that social. :/
other days i'll just lie in my bed, mumble angrily at humans and listen to joanna newsom... and insult people on webforums.
Yeah listening to Joanna Newsom is a good way to get me to hate the world and everyone in it too.
I didn't realize how much I value my alone time until I got as busy as I have recently. From 8AM to 4:30PM I'm in school, surrounded with people. On my time off I find myself avoiding friends more than usual because I just want to be alone. I want to be calm. I want to be in a serene spot.
I enjoy both company and being alone. :unsmith:
I don't really prefer either. When I'm alone, I'm fine with it. I don't sit around wishing other people were here. When I'm around people, I'm fine with it. I don't wish I was alone. I'm really perfectly satisfied with whatever the situation is. People ask me why I haven't gone out to meet people and whatnot since I got my own apartment, that it must be lonely. I don't get lonely at all for whatever reason.
I'm almost always alone, since I have very very few friends. :saddowns: I don't let that stop me from living life though... albeit alone, but still living. Nothing like walking through abandoned train tunnels alone; I feel like I'm the last one left on Earth. :v: I've finally been able to put aside all of the fears of urban exploring alone so I'm driving all over the state exploring abandoned shit this summer.

I fucking love urbex and I never get a chance to in this shitty city. :v:
i skate all day every day with my crew, but i'm grounded for the next two weeks and i'm not gonna lie, this is chill as fuck. [editline]4th July 2011[/editline] played fable 3 all fucking day, ohhh yeahhhhh 8|
Please, PLEASE don't ever use 8| again.
Please, PLEASE don't ever use 8| again.
it was sort of sarcastic but allright
I dont like being alone but I definitely get that feeling you're talking about when you walk around the streets like at sunrise or right before and no one is there. Its a pretty cool feeling
I hate being alone.
I must be some hardcore introvert compared to some people here. Since the summer started, I haven't talked to or seen any of my friends. I've just spent every day alone and I really love it. It's just so relaxing to go for a swim by yourself in the morning or going camping all alone and just spending a few days away from any part of civilization.
When I'm at friends or family, I drive my scooter home at night. It's an awesome feeling to be the only one speeding through an empty town. Also got a laugh once when some trucker decided to just speed over red at a highway 'cause he had the same idea as me, that there were nobody around.
Laying on the ground with your best friend just watching the stars is the best thing ever. It makes you feel so insignificant. I love it.
Sounds pretty gay
Sounds pretty gay
Friend =/= Male
Friend =/= Male
Sounds pretty straight
I have enough friends and love to go out but sometimes i just get so fed up with everybody's shit i just need to relax and be alone. I think it's perfectly normal. Being around people can be immensely tiring.
the thing you described, about being the only person on earth sounds interesting. it's so silent outside, i can't hear the distant traffic above the calm wind, only the sleepy glow of my keyboard and the relaxing white noise of the fans. now that you bring attention to it, it really is tranquil right now :D
I usually enjoy being alone, but lately it's really, really gotten to me. I think it's because I've just recently started working, and I realized the only time I've had a conversation with someone for more than 10 minutes that wasn't just family in the past year was with one of my co-workers. It also scares me to death thinking of what would happen if a few certain online friends of mine just stopped talking to me one day, because I genuinely like them more than most people I know. It's equally as terrifying thinking that I may never get to meet any of them in person. :smith:
Perfect alone time for me is every night just before bed I turn off all the lights and listen to music in complete darkness. It does a load of wonders after a stressful day.
I just like to read during my alone time (when I'm not on the computer), usually re-reading Ender's Game or HHGTTG, or books written by comedians My alone time recently has involved reading some of George Carlin's books.
-snip-
gotta have some time alone, but gotta spend time with friends. spending too long alone makes me depressed, being around people all the time makes me annoyed.
Sometimes I go for bike trips at night because the environment is perfect. Nobody is there it's so calm and smooth and quiet.
My favorite time to be out is at 3:00 in the morning. Never is the world so peaceful.
