America - World Police.
Because of the peace nobel price.
'Cause we're not POOSY.
There are a few counties that hate The United States of America and if they had the power they would maybe doing something about the U.S. So America has a monster Military so nothing like that happens.
As the late great George Carlin said, "We like war! WERE A WAR LIKE PEOPLE!"
Nintendo spends more money on their products than the US on education

No, it makes 2-3 more send more back at you. didn't the cold war teach anybody anything?
Many things lead up to us having a large military, but I will give you a short version.
Firstly, after world war 2, we had a huge army and we never reduced it because of the cold war. Instead, we increased it. Now, after the Soviets are gone, we never cut back on our military because it's simply too large to cut away from completely at once. We have been slowly decreasing ever since 1990.

That explains why most people in school would rather be playing Nintendo.
Oh I'm going to take so much flak for this.
The United States Military invests heavily in advanced technology to make up for its poor operational tactics and discipline.

But you don't have superpowers, your not Goku, mothafucka.
Because if you kept killing poor people in other countries the same way americans would get bored1/!?!

Yeah, the "Revolution in Military Affairs" is an utter joke. The 2006 Lebanon War shows this quite well.
