But money is required in said equation. How can one continue these activities, if he doesn't have a life to live? Impossible. At least by today's standards.

similar thing happened to me on my acid trip
during the intense parts I felt like i'd completely lost my mind, no sense of self. Was like viewing my life from another set of eyes, i don't know but I honestly felt like i'd made a big mistake and should stop using drugs all together
then after I recovered from the trip, back to my own ego, yep. Got high the next night :p
