Hey guys I got some "Sour Lemon Kush" and it was the greatest shit I've ever had, however it tasted like soap. Why?

If I'm going to smoke on an evening where I have work the day after I would smoke less quality bud, but on weekends or something I would definitely take the high quality one. Also if you're drunk then I would take the low quality one since alcohol tends to ruin the high, or disrupt it.
