one of my state's senators proposes a medical marijuana bill every year, so to try and get some representatives to back it up, I sent em an email
My reason for contacting you is to respectfully request that you partake in introducing legislation to allow the qualified physicians of Mississippi to recommend marijuana as a valid treatment option to their ill patients. Assuming you haven't scoffed and deleted this email yet, I would very much like to direct your attention to the horrendous act our state has been a part of in allowing suffering patients, MANY of whom who have given testimony to the positive effects of this herb, to continue to endure the horrific illnesses they have been stricken with, most times only given painkillers and other man-made drugs which have been proven, time and time again, to be much harsher on the body than marijuana. Cancer, insomnia, glaucoma, chronic pain, stress, anxiety, multiple sclerosis neuropathic pain, lack of appetite; the list goes on and on. These are all things that marijuana has been proven to alleviate in an unfathomably large way. Imagine, or perhaps relate from first hand experience, that a friend or loved one of yours was seriously affected by any of the above ailments and was constantly living, every second of their life, in pain from its effects. Marijuana can definitely be seen as a panacea for every single patient living with these awful, life changing problems. "But, we live in a strictly conservative state," I hear you say, "There's no way I could possibly partake in making this drug legal and still have the citizens of Mississippi look at me seriously!" On that note, let me direct you to a WAPT News poll preformed in 2010 (refer to bottom of email). The results were 70% in favor of legalization and 30% against it with nearly 2000 Mississippi residents voting. Even strict conservatives can realize the extreme medicinal value this drug holds. On a final note, I would like to point out the irony of all ironies. The University of Mississippi is the grower of medicinal marijuana for the federal government's "New Drug Program." The fact that we, as a state, are willing to give patients this amazing medicine outside of our borders, yet deny it to patients within, is a scary and despicable thing. Again, I believe something that can really convince you to look at medicinal marijuana in a serious manner is putting yourself in the shoes of families who struggle with an ill loved one. For many, marijuana is the only alleviation they have of their ailments and making this alleviation illegal is something any rational human being should see as a truly awful thing. Here are some links you, as a state official, should visit and read through: The WAPT poll I referred to (toward the middle of the article, labeled "SURVEY": http://www.wapt.com/news/23506475/detail.html "Dr. Tod's List" - A huge list of ailments alleviated by marijuana: http://www.letfreedomgrow.com/cmu/DrTodHMikuriya_list.htm Patient testimonies (click on the patient's pictures for information on them): http://www.mpp.org/states/illinois/patients.html http://www.mpp.org/states/new-york/patients/ An overview of marijuana: http://www.mpp.org/reports/medical-marijuana-overview.html In my opinion, the growing body of patient testimonials and people leaning towards legalization (http://www.gallup.com/poll/150149/record-high-americans-favor-legalizing-marijuana.aspx) creates an inevitable legality that we will face. Please, be a part of the good cause. I don't want patients to suffer anymore. Thank you so much for reading this, I would very much appreciate a personal response if possible. Please put yourself in the illness-stricken families' shoes and sympathize with them.
i hope this will at least get them to look at it different :(
how am I supposed to sneak outside and smoke these joints
Turn the shower on and smoke next to it. Take a shower after smoking and after your shower it will just smell like steam.
Got an otitis, the pain was excruciating yesterday, then I took 2 pills for the pain, and then I smoked, and VOILÀ! didnt feel SHIT for the rest of the night lol :D
I don't have central air, so I probably could turn on the fan too. Might give this a go, I always deemed it too risky before
Managed to acquire some shrooms yesterday with a couple of my buddies. Almost perfect night, found a cat who followed us throughout town and came across some strange frozen river. Lost the cat some point though. :(
Just got home from a weekend at the bro's house. Rollin' a fat one.
i could go for a bowl but i've got school in about 2 hrs
Do what I used to, smoke and school and use first block to come down. I wasted that semester.
I just don't feel the need to create a relationship where nothing can go wrong and everything is forgivable to someone just because I'm related to them. That is a type of trust and affection that should be earned and proven, not blindly given by birth. That's just my view. [editline]5th February 2012[/editline] On another note, I just purchased a 50ft roll of hemp wick for $6.
Oh I see what you mean, have to agree with you on that. Took 30 MG's of hydro earlier before airsofting, which turned out to suck, gonna smoke a few bowls when I get home
I don't have central air, so I probably could turn on the fan too. Might give this a go, I always deemed it too risky before
Did you try it? I have been doing it almost everyday for months and my parents have never said a word.
