Why do people find pleasure watching random people fight on the streets? I know someone who went to watch a fight in my cities' ghetto, and ended up getting stabbed to death by some gangsta (who died in a drive-by a month later).

so you approached a fallen down dude, presumably standing over him then said "Get out of here or he gets it?", then you say knife doesn't help at all? maybe if you actually showed the other dudes you were serious, the other guy might've been less thoughtful pulling a gun. most street fights is about who intimidates more. If you had that knife in directly next to his neck and shouted "FUCK OFF, I'LL CUT THIS FUCKER RIGHT NOW", they wouldn't have risked having one of their friends die over this mindless brawl.

What you do, if you only have a knife, in a situation like that is stab the guy you think is most likely to have a gun. Or at least pull the knife on that guy if you aren't in a stabby mood. If there are more potential gun carrying mofos than there are knives in your group, DON'T pull a knife, it's a lost cause. Instead, crap your pants and fling your shit at them. That tactic never fails in the monkey world of combat. Also, whenever a buddy has slurred speech, you must make him say "my mom has a black purse", it's practically a national law.

This reminds me of the time I almost got jumped/mugged/murdered/kidnapped by two or so black guys about a week ago. I don't know exactly what they were planning to do, they turned around and fled when they got about half way to where I was for some reason... :\

We've had one murder in the past 5 years in my town. The nearest city has a murder every few months, at the most.

And just a few days before that some guy tried to hang himself but failed, and broke his neck instead. I guess it's not murder but you get my point. (They never found the top half of the guy who was killed by the train, just his legs.)

Oh yeah, a couple of months back a young man was at a party, got drunk, had an argument with his girlfriend and left the party. On the way home he vented his anger by punching one of the windows of the local fire station. The window broke, he pulled his arm out suddenly and got cut along his wrist. He died at the scene. But it's hardly gang wars and weeklong shootouts.
