We arrive with much concern coming from Jack about them having guns and such, and us growing up with these kids, we knew they wouldn't be packin' and knowing many gang members, they don't shoot innocent people unless the so called shooter is a worthless fuck. We arrive to the baseball feild and immediatly two car speedily drive up to us, About 6 black kids, and 4 mexican kids whom i had grew up with a knew personally and even said their name as soon as he came out. Jack runs but they don't notice, so it left Me, Victor, and Andy against 9 kids. We explain that we came to watch and we don't want any trouble, but mid way through our speech they pushed Victor who is the smallest but not the weakest of our group and we get pissed and push back, a brawl breaks out. I had the one kid who attacked me on the ground most likely with a few broken ribs but they had all ganged up on my friends and had them on the ground kicking and such. I knew what had to be done so I pulled out my knife and walked towoards the kids on the ground. I took the smaller than me black man on the ground and put my knive to his throat (I would never kill anyone but it was a drastic measure taken to stop this fight from going any further) I yell "Get the fuck out of here or ya boy gets it" so one kid turns around and pulls out a gun saying some shit about I'm going to be the one getting it. I knew that once the gun was drawn there wasn't much stopping him from shooting any one of us, my friends and I all scatter and meet up inside a local walgreens making sure we're all okay, I notice Andy's face is cut up and bruised and his speech is slurred. We get a call from our parents yelling at us about who we're with, why we got jumped and that there's 4 squad cars at her house and to get home immediatly. Our eyes light up and we literally ran all the way home, ditching our two knives, bowl and scale on the way. I find Jack and his mom at my house, Jack is all bruised but he deserves it for getting us invloved in this stupid drama shit, the cops had already left and apperently Jack had called the cops when he ran but he didnt say any of our names luckily. They hunted down Jack and gave him a good ass whoopin. There is most likely going to be a retaliation from a gang we know, we asked a few of our buddies to put them in a hospital for being such ignorant fucks and knowing we didn't do anything and were innocent bystanders. This is an important lesson learned to any of you in the city, even if you're carrying a knife, no matter how close you are to somone you can get shot, and knives don't mean shit in todays day and age. I also wrote this to vent, because the cops are involved I couldn't tell any of my friends, just delete this if it is absolute shit. I know this isn'y blogpunch but I maybe it was a good read for some of you with nothing else better to do. Sorry if I wasted your time, also I'm in no way a gangster or anything like that, I'm italian with a buzz cut and at the time I was wearing a Hollister shirt and an American Eagle hoodie. It's also made me take a different look at the world and how fucked up everything is. I'm happy I moved out of the city. Watching a gangfight is rather amusing, if you have no risk of getting stabbed or knifed or a anything. The one time I saw one, it was a bunch of white kids and a bunch of black kids. Oh, and there was one guy that had the worst sunburn I've ever seen, seriously, the fucker looked like a lobster, or Zoidberg, and he was high, tripping, or wasted, or all three. We were around until a bunch of them got arrested, and heard an officer try to ask Mr. Zoidberg questions, to which he responded "Man, like, these fukin nigas are fussshing up da naybor, like, fuck man." Did you actually think these guys were just going to let you get away with that? Hell, who knows what they were capable of, and what they were going to do next. You're stupid for going out to a fight. I grew up on a rough ass side of town, and I've had my share of guns pointed at me. I've also seen what knives can do way too many times. You're just borderline retarded. Not only for going to the fight, but bringing a knife along. Life isn't a video game; you aren't going to go Assassin's Creed on all those guys with your knife. If things escalated into full fighting, you'd get your knife in someone and then the rest of the guys would snuff you out, which a term we've always used here for when a dumbass gets murdered by his own weapon because he decided to bring it to a fist fight. People don't kill each other in fistfights, but people die all the time when knives are involved. It's hard for me to believe this story is real, simply because it takes such an extreme level of stupidity to make the decisions you made. You're just lucky Latin Kings are pussies that don't pull triggers. The important lesson actually is unjustified violence is incredibly stupid, and it confuses be as to why you would go to watch such a silly thing.

I'm not gonna jump in here and be a dickhead and tell you carrying a knife is stupid, if you know how to use it it can be useful, and if it's the only thing you've got then you don't have much of a choice, but if you find yourself in this kinda situation often, buy a gun and carry that, learn how to not act like a fucktard with it though, there's a MAJOR difference in intimidation from when someone pulls a gun out of the front of there pants and points it at you with one hand sideways, and one someone who actually knows what the fuck there doing pulls a gun out of a shoulder holster and drops into a weaver stance.

In fact, it tends to be the other way around. When a kid is pointing the gun at you sideways and yelling profanity, it's scarier because then you know that the kid just might be stupid enough to pull the trigger. Someone that is trained to use the weapon and drops into a stance isn't as scary because you know they are smart enough to not pull that trigger, no matter how threatening they are. I know this from experience. Please, please, please, people. Stop posting advice and such when you really have no idea how things work. It's not the movies or some video game. Shit doesn't work like you think it does.

Obviously since this is on facepunch I'm very skeptical as to this being a real story. That being said, only ever pull a knife if you're going to use it immediately. "I've got a knife" can only escalate these sorts of situations as there's a good chance they'll have them too, or even worse, have a gun. Knife is something that you carry around to use as a last resort in a life threatening situation.

Funfact, most knife wounds are self-inflicted.
